Fallen Giant
I cannot slumber, cannot sleep,
Fear's within me, lurking deep.
Whispers, I've heard on the breeze.
Of a monster whom we cannot flee.
…
Mortal, but with a sharpened sword.
This monster to us rides towards.
Slays without reason, no mercy.
And still he rides, now towards me.
…
So from my slumber I awake.
Around me sands of time they shake.
The monster mounted, little man,
Leaves trails of blood upon the sands.
…
I cannot flee, so I must fight.
In which the monster takes delight.
A different slumber awaits me,
And thus I'm doomed to history.
…
The blade bites in, it cuts in deep.
And thus I fall, a broken heap.
Within the sand, I'm buried under.
Pierced by blade and torn asunder.
