Hey all, this is once again a redo of the TLOS: Infinite but this time, it's going to be a group of humans heading to Spyro's world to establish a colony which will grow to eventually be a new human nation. In some other Human in realms stories its usually one human in the realms so I thought this time what about a group of human colonists trying to survive a conflict between the dark remnants and the dragon forces of draconia(I named it) and its allies. Enjoy
Chapter 1 – The Terra Initiative
I don't know what happened back at Earth because I was only like 10 when it happened. WWIII Inevitably happened. Ned McStark, My father, a proud patriot, war hero, and visionary was a head of a secret project that involved going out of space as he feared the war would happen and he and many others did not want to get dragged in. My father being a war veteran gave him skills of a charismatic leader. He managed to influence at least 700,000 people to be involved. The space project that my father and his friends started was called "The Terra Initiative".
Thanks to the numerous volunteers, John and his group of friends managed to quickly build the great SS EDEN. The SS EDEN was a colossal Ark ship buried inside a hidden base established away from government eyes. When the war began, the ship of the 700,000 people launched.
In space, it was just me, my two brothers, my dad, and my uncle Barn McStark and his family. My mother and her side of the family were not around because she passed away when my youngest brother was born. Her side of the family however broke contact with us due to blame of my dad and his family.
Back to the point, we had been in space for at least 4 years trying to find a new home planet. Suddenly a miracle happened, we discovered a new home planet. Once we discovered the Planet, we landed in an isolated island right by the larger strange land. The island was completely filled with forests, large mushrooms, and surprisingly….. sheep? Yeah… there were actually for some reason earth animals in the world. However, that didn't stop us from starting to build our city using wood and mushroom for the walls. As someone who actually played kingdoms of amalaur reckoning, the city looks like almost Gravehall keep except theres a large ship instead of a castle, and also a few sci-fi tweeks inside the various wooden houses. Speaking of wooden struckers, it would be considered to be a big mistake.
Somewhere south of the island was a kingdom of anthromorphic monkeys whom called themselves apes? Their leader, king Melvin saw us as a rival ape clan and attacked us as if it was a turf war. Because we were a starting society, our army that looks more like a militia were almost a total joke. Most of the members were retired military vets and eager cocky teens with no true military training. Making things worse, we number only about 2,000 vs their 33,000 I thought. The first objective was to keep the ape people pinned near the gates while the rest of us evacuate the civilians into the ship. 1,000 men stood at the gates while the other half rounded up the civilians. Despite our more advance weapons, thanks to greater number, The Apes had lots of ranged units that surprised the defenders killing 25 of us. The positive was we downed them to 21,324 before they broke through forcing us the defending militia to find anything to use as cover.
Eventually we successfully drove them off for now, but we lost half our defenders, and the city that we were building was in ruin. Our leadership consisting of my dad, my uncle, my aunt-through marriage, and a few friends of my dads' were argueing among themselves about what to do next involving leadership of our supposed new nation.
My name is John McStark, I am currently 21, soon to be solider of the Terra Republic Army.
First contact with alien life wasn't at the best of start. Not only they were primal ape creatures but they humiliated the human colonists who were supposed to be a powerful species. The nameless city was currently in a wreckage. The walls are being rebuilt by using scrapped metal pieces of the ship. The Ship was eventually gone, salvaged for parts to rebuild/replace not only the walls but also the buildings.
The city as of now looks like sanctuary from Borderlands 2 with a large building that served as a command center and government building. The building was also the home of a young Caucasian man named John McStark. He is currently gazing out of his bed room balcony taking a look at the view of the Repaired city Now called New Eden. On top of the wall rims are pairs of black and white American flags that are used to represent that there supposed city-state was a shadow the USA's former self. Sadly there is no actual head of state yet. The Closets thing that New Eden had for a government was a consul consisting of his father, uncle, and a few friends.
John was pretty much bored to death hoping to do something more for the colony but he wants to join up the newly formed army that is being built. It had been seven years since the alien monkey attack and he remembers the horrors of the battle. He saw it with his own eyes through a window of the ship. He remembers how brave the defenders were, risking their lives to keep the apes away from the civilians. He wanted to do something for them but he was helpless at the time. But now thanks to the formed army, an academy was built and he is eager to join up to get both an education, and experience in battle.
Across his bedroom, a knocking noise is heard banging the door catching his attention. John turns his head to the room which consists of a Queen sized bed, couch-chair, TV with videogames, A desk with a computer, a closet were his cloths are, and of course a dresser. From the door a voice shouts "Yo John, you ready?" "yes Robert, just give a sec" John replys as he heads to the other door which is his private bathroom. In the bathroom he gazed at his reflection in the mirror showing that his hair color and short beard is black, his eyes were a pale blue. After he showered and brushed his teeth, he dressed into his white t-shirt along with back and blue camaflouge jacket, pants, and boots.
He entered the kitchen area of the family apartment showing that his brothers are already eating breakfeat. His father Ned sadly was not present due to leadership duties with the counsel. John kind a hoped his father would be around as he desperately wanted to tell his father the news that he wanted to join up. Robert, one of the brothers noticed John's down mood drinking his coffee spoke in a cocky mood "Still thinking about signing up?" Unlike John, Robert was considered to be the high energy average joe of the family, John himself was just a laid back guy who likes to play video games. Not that he didn't enjoy company of others but he yearns to be adventurus since he is in a whole new world. Currently he is employed as a city guard so he does have combat experience.
To him, being a security guard wasn't the most exciting job but it does make him feel useful contributing to the colony. John looked at Robert with a small smile and replys "Yes Robert, im still thinking about joining the Templars". The Templars were the name of the army given by his Uncle due to being a big fan of midevil stuff. His other and youngest brother Rick, who was listening just laughed a bit. Despite being a kid, he is smart enough to know that their father never wanted them to join up due to worry of losing them. He looked at John to say "you know father might not let you." John just looked down at his coffee in his thoughts. As much he didn't want to believe but Rick is right, their father definitely might not let him join up. Hes eager to see more to the world but little that he knows He'll get his wish.
(Eden headquarters, top floor)
In the top floor of the HQ is a consul of individuals. They are currently the closest things for leadership. They consist of Ned himself as the acting head, his younger brother Bran as the head of security, his wife Darny who is the head of treasury due to being formerly being an accountant in Earth life, Arthur Jackson, the middle aged African-American acting as the head scribe of the Apollo institute, and of course Professor Micheal Darson, the Asain-American head of Scientific department. The Five individuals seem to be arguing about a proper leader. Starting with Bran "now that we have rebuilt, I believe before we start expanding further, with an army we are going to need a proper government with a proper leader." "Agreed, but I believe we should forge a consititution that is not too identical to the old United states" Arthur added. Ned decided to call attention for his group of friends and family as he himself decided the next plan of action.
"Gentleman, I believe that we must embrace the same old US constitution but with a few changes. I believe that we will hold elections but instead of the four year term, our Presidents will be elected for life but with a proper consul to represent the people with the power to vote out the current president any question?"
Prof. Darson raised his hand "I have two questions, 1. Why cant you be president yourself? You are the founder of this project and 2. Why president for life? It will scare people about a dictatorship." "I want to show an example to people that I wouldn't try to exploit my fame for power and the other question is that so our future presidents will focus on doing his job rather than worrying about being re elected but as I said, we will in a way give the people the right to call for impeachment if the president turns into a tyrant." Answeared Ned.
(southern Island border)
Across the claimed northern Terra Territory that is now claimed by various human settlements which are mostly walled farms and quarries is a border. Hoping to prevent Further alian attacks from the south so humanity could expand further, a large wall is built to keep them away. The wall had various towers which housed human border guards called the Senitals. The Senitals' job is basicly to keep watch in case the enemy tries to get through. Deeper in the south is a large Ape encampment. For the past seven years, they been trying to build more airships like the one that was used by king Ghaul. By the orders of King Melvin, they are to build ships in order to pass through the border in order to exterminate or enslave the alien furless kin daring to trespass into their territory. As things were bad enough, there had been sightings of dragon armies approaching into their land to invade as well. Melvin in the other hand is using his binoculars at the human border for any weaknesses. Looking back at his future air force, than looked back with a grin and spoke in a sinister tone "them sorry excuse of apes will soon be bowing to me."
Alright I hope I could keep my motivation in this story. To assure all this is not by any means a crossover. And yes this takes place after the events of Dawn of the Dragon. And no Malefor will not be making an appearance. And very soon the humans of the Terra Republic are about to get dragged into a conflict
