Knock knock knock.

"Ellie? Are you in there?" Mathew Martin asked from the other side of his sisters room door. He got no reply, so he knocked again. "Ellie, are you gonna go to school?" Still no reply. Matt tried opening the door, but by the way the doorknob didn't turn, told him it was locked. He sighed, crossed his arms and leaned back against the wall.

Things were definitely falling apart right before his eyes, and what was the sixteen year old boy to do? Everyone was changing, and who's to say he wasn't too? Of course, he had changed physically. Three years have flew by in a flash, he was taller now, a few inches taller than Ellie, although still not as tall as Jason. His hair wasn't as crazy and wild as it was when he was thirteen, but his blue eyes still were full of the same ambitions. In those three years he had become more muscular and well built. Well with protecting New Eden city and fighting off every mutant Stankfoot has thrown at them, it was bound to happen. Matt had become quite the young man, he showed much more maturity... Well he had to.

Ever since their father had died, three years ago in tragic car accident, Matt had felt an even stronger urge to support and protect his mother and sister. The lose of their father had an effect on all of them, but it truly had an impact on their mother. Everyday the most that she would do, is go to work and take care of the family's financial needs the best she could. Never did she cook, never did she clean, rarely did she ever even talk to her children. Any time that wasn't spent on managing and paying bills, was wasted away, locked within the room her and her late husband shared. Ellie had gotten a part time job to try and contribute to the family's financial needs, and they still were barley keeping up. Matt had insisted he get a job to, but Ellie told him he should really just focus on school, as if he needed to. Ellie hadn't changed much, she was just a lot more dedicated to her job, school work, and protecting New Eden city. The word 'fun' is nonexistant to her. She was always stress and got overly depressed around this time of year. It's ironic how the day that their father died happen to be the same day that their older brother died a year before Matt was born. Matt of course, didn't remember him but Ellie did. And because he knew that his sister was depressed and grieving, is what brought him to her door that morning.

Matt sighed and tilted his head back, staring at the light on the ceiling. "Ellie, I'm here." He said not expecting her to hear.

A moment later, Matthew jerked his head up at the sound of the door behind him unlocking. Quickly, he pushed himself off the door as it swung open. There stood Ellie, still clad in her pajamas and she still had a horrible case of bed hair. Her eyes were red and puffy. Her nose and cheeks were red as well and tear stained. Matt noticed that a small tissue crumbled up in her right hand. He looked her in the eyes and noticed more tears started to form.

Not knowing what to say, Matt simply held open his arms and instantly Ellies' tears broke out as she ran into her brothers arms. She sobbed into her brothers chest and hugged him tighter. Matt held his sister close as she mumbled, "They're gone Matt. They're really gone." He had heard these words spill from his sisters lips before, but he still found himself shedding tears of his own.

...

As usual, Jason James was parkouring the abondon, or what should be abondon, streets of Stankville. He didn't mind all the small mutant creatures that would appear here and there, for they were harmless. He ran and flipped across building after building. Free running truly made him feel free, thats why he loved it so much. Jason carefully made his way to the top of a tall building, that over looked most of Stankville. The city may have been run down and not very appealing, but nonetheless he felt at peace. He stood at the edge of the building, trying to decipher how he was going to keep manuevering through the buildings without going back the way he just came.

Of course, over the years Jason had not really changed much. Physically, maybe. He had gotten just a little taller as his face was more mature. Trying to keep up with Brett Ronson helped him keep a sharp mind, and battling Stankfoots evil mutants kept his body fit and attractive. Other than that the boy-er, um man I mean being that he was 21, still loved all the hobbies he enjoyed when he was 18. He still had a huge passion for art and was actually going to school for it.

Not finding any other way to get to another building, Jason sat down, with his long legs dangling over the edge, and enjoyed the cool, crisp autumn breeze. His thoughts being about the three people in his life that he deeply cared about. Matt, Ellie, and his grandmother. Yes, over the years he had grown attached to the two siblings, they had been through so much together. And they had help him get a deeper and greater bond with his grandma. Jason promised himself, that he wouldn't let anything happen to them. He was going to protect them, no matter what...

Zoom!

Jasons' thoughts were interrupted as he heard something fly past him. He looked into the direction the fast object was heading, but saw nothing but a flash of silver speedily make its way through Stankville, it was moving really fast. Curiosity quickly getting the best of Jason, he wasted no time in becoming Z-Strap and flew of in pursuit of the mysterious being. Little did he know, that when he encounters it, everything will change for Zevo 3
