A/N: Mrs. Lovegood's name is Ciara, just because.
This is my side to my friend, wrackspurt394's fanfiction, 'Mrs Lovegood's Death'. Go check his out!

It was a mutter of words and a flick of a wrist. A flash of light, and that was it.

Ciara Lovegood knew she was going to die, but she didn't expect it to be like this. It was quick and painless. She wanted to see her family and friends one last time, and she didn't want it to be caused by one silly mistake.

Because when she saw her husband spring up, and sob over her body, Luna wide-eyed and not knowing what to do, it made her heart crumble. When frantic hands searched over her body for a pulse, her throat almost went hoarse with begging.

"Ciara... Ciara... honey..."

Ciara thought that those words would haunt her for the rest of time. She was watching tears fall down the cheeks of the most important people in her life- past life. She wanted to crouch down next to them and gently wipe their tears away.

When she tried to do that, her fingers disappeared straight into their faces. And that's when she started to cry, because she was there, she was with them, but she wasn't. She couldn't help them, she could only watch onto them. She could sob and cry all she wanted, but she'd never be heard.

Mrs. Lovegood wanted to take Luna into her arms to comfort her, because she knew her daughter would be haunted by this event, forever. She'd probably see her mother's eyes, her own eyes, slowly fading into death every time she went to sleep. And Mrs. Lovegood would be watching over her, helplessly, as her daughter woke up, reaching out for the arms that would never hold her again.

She was glad when Xenophilius closed her eyes, but she knew it hurt him deeply to do so. They both knew her death was going to arrive, and they knew that it would be painful to let each other go. Ciara had never even imagined it would hurt this much. She hated shouting, crying, and sobbing, yet never being heard.
