She sat on the piano bench, letting her fingers slide over the ivory keys with a strange longing look to her face. I felt my heart flutter at the sight of her there waiting for me, she was completely lost in her own world. Smiling as I imagine she remembered the lullaby.
Her lullaby.
Her face full of the most content expression she had ever held under this roof, I couldn't disrupt her dream.
A smile flittered across her face at a remembered memory and I found myself smiling at her, for once I found I didn't mind I couldn't see inside her mind.
The smile alone was enough for me.
The silent knowledge that that smile was saved for a memory of us, of me and her was enough to satisfy my need of knowledge.
She pressed a finger down onto one ivory key sending a note shivering across the room's walls.
Her beauty was tangible in my eyes, her scent intoxicating me. Engulfing in my nose and open mouth I breathed it deeply in.
"Hey", I heard her voice say softer than normal across the room, I opened my eyes to find her risen from the bench with a small smile on her face.
"Bella" I said with a smile in my voice, quickly I was across the room and had her in my arms next to my chest. My favorite place in the world. I felt her sigh and breathe against me and once again I was completely whole.
