AN: I did this is my English class, which is probably why it is crap. We had to do really short stories and I did a fanfic for Twilight. My teacher was not impressed. So worth it.

Read and review please.

I sat up slowly, my head pounding. As my eyes adjusted to the dark atmosphere I realised that I wasn't at home anymore, wasn't lying in the arms of my own personal heater anymore. Panic began to gnaw at the edges of my stomach as I took in my surroundings, taking everything in. I tried to remain calm as the panic bubbled beneath the surface, screaming to be released. The darkness was terrifying. It felt as though if I looked down I'd fall down a deep dark hole and not get back out again, that I was going to drown in the darkness, alone.

My panic increased as something clicked into place in my brain; there was no sound. Everything was silent. No sounds could be heard; not even my own panicked breathing. I looked around my surroundings again for some clue; some shred of evidence, that I wasn't the only one in this hell, but there was no one around. I was alone.

In the gloom, I could just barely make out the shapes of trees, their branches long and pointy, sticking out at odd angles which made it look almost as if they had arms. Strange. Trees didn't have arms...

"Get sane Bella!" I scolded myself. My imagination was going into overdrive.

I stood up, forcing my legs to get out of where I was, wherever that was. As I passed, the branches of the trees suddenly jutted out threateningly. I jumped, my knees going weak with fear. The trees seemed to be towering over even more, creating an even darker black blanket around me, a blanket of despair and evil.

Suddenly, I hear a noise behind me; the sound of fallen autumn leaves being stepped on. I gasped and whirled around, but there was nothing there. I heard the snap of a twig to my right; the rustle of leaves to my left. I whirled around in a circle in fear of turning my back. I heard a laugh, a cold, cruel laugh from where I had been facing originally. Slowly, I turned around. Standing there was Victoria, her brilliant red hair seeming to be crackling with energy, her skin sparkling like millions of little diamonds.

"Hello Bella," she said, grinning and showing off her white teeth. Her voice had a purr-like sound to it, and I could recognise the threat behind the silken voice. I saw the malice in her eyes. My breathing hitched in my throat, my heart stuttered, beads of sweat rolled down my neck as Victoria crouched and pounced, her sharp fangs ready to sink into-

I bolted upright screaming, legs and arms and sheets all tangled up in each other.

"Bells, calm down, it was just a nightmare!" Jacob's strong arms eloped me, holding me close. My breathing was laboured as I tried to calm my racing heart. Jacob looked at me, his dark eyes full of worry and love. Eventually I felt less panicked and lay back down, Jacob keeping me close, keeping the nightmares away.
