Hakuryuu 8In addition to the great empires known to us, another powerful empire exists. The great Ryeo Empire. It's King Myeong-Wook was able to conquer three countries and unite them and the three powerful families under his command. He married three Queens and has now many successors. In the Ryeo Empire power and sucess is mostly determined by beauty. The more handsome a prince is, the more the people will love and follow him. For princesses it's the same. But due to unknown circumstances the King isn't able to have many princesses, because most of them died shortly after their birth. That's the reason why in the empire there are twentyfour princes and two princesses. Well not are, but were until this day. Only the first Queen Byeong-Go was able to give birth to two princesses, the first imperial princess Taejin and the second imperial princess Taeyang. When Taejin was only seven years old she got sick and deceased after one month of battling the unknown sickness. At that time Ryeo was in an unstable political situation, because the third most powerful family was starting a rebellion. The reason was that they had not as much power as the first and second, since the King hadn't married a woman from this family yet. So despite his first daughters death the king had to marry again to end the rebellion. The first Queen was outraged, since she couldn't handle the death of her daughter and the king was marring again without a problem.
"How can you think about a marriage, when your daughter just died? Have you gone crazy? How much of a monster is inside you?!" The first queen shouted and threw everything she could get at her husband. The second princess Taeyang, three at that time, was standing behind her mother and watching the scene in front of her. The King looked at his wife in despair. "Of course Taejin's death also hits me hard, but I can't forget that I'm the king of this country and I have to make sure it doesn't fall apart. The only thing that can stop this rebellion is the marriage. I have to do it for our country!"
The Queen's face changed from a crying to an insane face. She graped her daughter Taeyang and a shard of a broken vessel. She pulled Taeyang in front of her and held the shard near her face. "If you only care about your stupid country, then you also shouldn't care what happens to your now only daughter!"
Taeyang was crying and shouting for help. She tried to escape the stong grip of her mother, but it helped nothing at all. The king now alerted wanted to calm down his wife, but as soon as he took one step towards his wife and his daughter the queen tore her arm up and scraped the face of Taeyang with the shard. Because of the sudden pain the princess started crying even more and screamed. The queen didn't release her grip and moved her arm even more to scrape the face of her daughter. In this moment soldier entered the scene and pulled the queen away from the princess with the now distorted face.
Since that day the beautiful second princess Taeyang wasn't there anymore. The incident left big scars on the left side of her face and the queen wasn't as kind as she was before. For her the daughter Taeyang never existed, because of the now distorted face she was a princess of shame. The king hid his now only princess for the next years. She had to wear a mask, that only covered her left face in order to hide the scars her mother gave her. At the age of eight the king brought her back to the palace, but under a new identity. She wasn't the second imperial princess Taeyang anymore but the 4th imperial prince Wang Han Soo, or for short Wang Soo. A prince with a scarred face wasn't as unacceptable in the family as a princess. But after the incident not only the queen changed. Wang Soo wasn't a sweet, hard learning child anymore. she, or now he, developed a fighting personality. He started learning swordsmanship, in order to serve the country as a powerful prince, even if he wasn't as good looking as his older and younger brothers.
The only problem Wang Soo would have was his changing body as he got older. But like a miracle a mysterious building was raised next to his camp, when he was on an learning journey with his master. At night he decided to go into this building since he heard stories about magical items hidden in the so called 'dungeons'. Wang Soo went missing for three weeks. The king sent many troops in order to find his son. And they found him wounded, but alive near the location where the dungeons once was. He didn't told anyone about the metal vessel he managed to gane. Because the djinn of life living in it, the 36th Djinn Tahul, solved his body problem. In exchange for continuous magoi emission Wang Soo was able to change his original body to a new, now male body. As long as Wang soo gave the djinn magoi he was able to remain in the second body. The only persons he told about this metal vessel later where the king, and his younger brother the 16th prince Soon Woo found out by accident when Wang Soo was twelve. They were attacked, when the two were out of the palace practising hunting. In order to protect his brother Soo used too much of his magoi, what resulted in temporarily losing his second body. As soon as Soon Woo tried to treat his brothers wounds he noticed the difference and after Wang Soo woke up after being unconscious, he had to explain everything to the 16th prince.
But now the main story is beginning. The Kou Empire is trying to create an alliance with the Ryeo Empire. Which results in a visit of the Ryeo Empire by the First Prince of Kou, Kouen Ren.
