What can I say? I got inspired by some music. It was a simple idea, and so I wrote it down then smoothed out the edges. It's based on those manga chapters, (the ones I'm too lazy to search up for specific numbers) where Kid's all crazy with nothingness and all that. You know the one(s). Meh.
Symmetry: a precise sense of harmonious or aesthetically pleasing proportionality and balance; the balance between left and right.
Void:nothingness, the state of nonexistence; null, lacking any binding force
It made perfect sense to him, and it still did. Symmetry was perfect balance. Nonexistence was a force that outdid everything. A void, or nothingness, exceeded symmetry. Symmetry was surpassed by nonexistence. Therefore, symmetry might be perfection, but nothingness destroyed perfection, and become superior. Nothingness is the balance that should be pursued.
Silence. That was the stillness he felt surmounting him. No more attachments, no more relationships, and no more friendships. All of that had shattered; broken down to millions of diminutive insignificant pieces. Was there ever any reason to keep those connections? Not as far as he was concerned. Those attachments were the binds that were holding him back, he concluded. Without them, he felt control. Control over everything and everyone. It was an indefinable power; one he had finally acquired.
Power. Yet another thing he had finally been enlightened on. He was a fragment, not a complete piece, but that did not matter. The power he had was one that was far beyond any coherent thought. Without any real difficulty, he could easily destroy anything in his sight. But that was dull. He rather destroy everything bit by bit. Watch as the pieces fall, fading from existence. It would be far more entertaining. After all the dirty work was done, he would rule the nothingness. Allow himself to become part of it, and watch with amusement as the world followed. That was his objective. Destroy everything, until there is nothing left.
Oblivion. Darkness. Those would be his companions during that time. Shadows, gloom, and stillness. Goodbye to the sunshine. Goodbye to the light. Goodbye to everything. Nothing would matter. There would no longer be any meters, inhibitors or anything else. He would be stuck in pure neutral. And complete order would ensue. All he could see was black in the future. It caused him to chuckle momentarily.
He stopped abruptly, realizing there was one small obstacle on his path to complete emptiness. One he felt the presence of nearby. His smile slowly turned into a frown. This hindrance had a name, one he once knew. But why should he care? The imperfection in his plan would be erased, and this person's name would not be remembered.
A shadow covered him momentarily, and then disappeared. He watched as the impediment whizzed by him. He glanced down apathetically at the being that floated below him. The figure called him, grinning, but slowly began to frown. The obstacle in his plan was here, and for a moment he felt himself remember the name of his being that now stood in front of him. It was a faint voice that called out the person's name, but he could hear it clearly.
