Her eyes glossed over a pure white and her voice becomes husky.
"I'm not unfaithful, I never have been."
The words fall out of her mouth gracefully but to him they have no meaning.
"Excuse me Professor but I don't understand?"
Just what he needed, Harry thought, another prophesy. Why had he let Ron and Hermione convince him this School Reunion was a good idea?
"You will be."
He stares blankly at her.
She knows. He knows, she knows. It scares him.
"Excuse me please", he says with a fake smile plastered across his face.
A seer sees all. She senses unhappiness and despair. She sees cheaters, not just people who cheat physically; she sees those who cheat emotionally-mentally. She knew Harry's secret.
She gazes at him lazily from across the room as her eyes begin to clear and her thoughts flood back into her mind. She can feel the stench of cheating, deception and secrets on him. She knows that he's with someone he's not supposed to be with. He's not with the person he loves. He's not with the person his heart belongs to, even though he knows he should be.
However, it puzzles her that she can still taste that his heart is oddly content after years of angst and pain. It almost seems as if suddenly, after years of darkness, he has been guided back to a light. The truth is he is going to break that light; he's going to go back to the darkness because that is what is expected of him. No matter whom he hurts or the damage he causes, he is trapped by the light.
She knows mentally he wants to love the darkness, he tries. He wants to accept it and be accepted by it; it is the only option. He can't though because she knows that he knows his heart and soul belong to the other. The one he should be with.
She watches as the stench of lies and deception change into a scent of love and kindness. People walk by idly unaffected by the purity of their emotions, the exceptional bond they share. In the end, she thinks, although he is cheating and he is going to hurt someone but some things are worth the pain. She smiles to herself as she continues to stare at the forbidden couple.
"It is nice to see they have finally set there differences aside", says Dumbledore casually.
"Indeed", she says before tearing her gaze away from Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter, "greater things are to come..."
A/N: This was a really odd one-shot that came to me a while ago and I was unsure of whether to post it or not and I guess I was braver than I thought. It might be easier for you to understand if I explain that to Harry Ginny is the darkness and Draco the light. The teacher Harry is speaking to is Professor Trelawny, hence the whole Seer concept.
Please Review... for every review I don't receive Harry goes back to Ginny and Pansy steals Draco! Now none of us want to see that!
