Te vojo bene assai
ma tanto tanto bene sai
e' una catena ormai
che scioglie il sangue dint'e vene sai

The moment she knew she loved him, she refused to let him go.

She had loved. And was the only one who loved.

She cursed fate, even though she never believed in destiny. She wanted to blame something - someone. That lingering despair is forcing itself to be known.

Was she ugly? Undesirable? Unworthy?

She tried making him feel loved - God knows she did.

She did everything to make sure he knew her feelings.

She gave him everything, but he would have none of it.

He didn't give a damn about her advances: such pathetic excuses to make him look her way.

At first, she refused to think of this as rejection. She thought of it more as ignorance.

He was hesitant and indecisive - at least, that's what she thought.

She would win him. Eventually, she will.

Of course, she didn't know about her.

'Mai.'

No manners, no sophistication. And that idiocy made her want to cringe. She was everything she was not. Surely, she was better, was she not?

She is a well-mannered woman who deserves her spot in the superficial society; a perfect specimen of a lady.

How come Oliver didn't desire her? Is she insufficient?

Is she not enough?

Nothing mattered anymore. Everything she had been taught, everything she had worked so hard to attain was useless. Naru didn't want her.

She may be alluring, but her beauty is nothing compared to Mai's charm. She is intelligent, yes - but does it really matter?

And now, as she looked in front of the mirror, Luna's light illuminating the dreary room, she couldn't help but cry.

That was all she could do.

Te vojo bene assai ma tanto tanto bene sai?

A/N: Sorry this was a bit short. The lyrics above is Italian which translate to : I love you very much; very, very much, you know. It is a chain by now that heats the blood inside the veins, you know?

The last line means I love you very, very much, you know?'

Sankyuu!
