I know a winter story in the middle of summer doesn't really make sense, but I miss winter and wanted to write something. Plus I really like Ginny's full name so I had to use it.

Not many people would guess that winter was Ginevra Weasley's favorite season. With her fiery red hair and warm brown eyes, she was often told she looked like an autumn lady, but she was an ice princess.

To her, the snow stopped time. It made the air stand still and her brothers quiet down. It made the entire world stop moving long enough for her to ice skate around the little pond outside The Burrow. And today, she was skating with her boyfriend.

"Seriously, you've never skated before?" Ginny accused more than asked.

"I never saw the greatness in it. Plus the Dursley's only took me out with them a handful of times and I doubt Dudley wouldn't have cracked the ice." Harry retorted, tying his skates.

"I knew they weren't fair, but I didn't know they deprived you of one of the most essential things in the world." Ginny yelled back doing a simple spin as she did so.

"'Essential things in the world', huh? Is it first on the list or does food and a home top it?" He asked sarcastically, falling on his bum and hitting his head as he did so.

Ginny skated the short distance to Harry, skidding tiny shavings of ice when she got to him. She squatted down next to his face and said "I think that if you keep falling like that you'll be the one breaking the ice." Before she got back up and offered her hand.

He stared at it for a minute, before giving her a sly look and pulling her down to him on the ice.

"You bastard!" she laughed when she hit the ice, and she would have said more if he hadn't began kissing her than.

The kiss was long and hot, and neither of them noticed when Harry leaned Ginny on her back, or when Ginny got her hands tangled in Harry's hair.

The kiss didn't stop until Hermione started talking, "You know it's going to be very hard to explain to Ron how you guys burned a hole in the ice. I would suggest finding a less dangerous place to snog. Like, maybe, not where it's so easy for Ron to see you."

"Hey Hermione! Are Harry and Ginny up there I want to show them my new skates!" Ron said a few couple meters away from the pond.

Ginny quickly stood up and Harry tried to, failed, and just sat on his bruised buttocks.

When Ron showed up he didn't notice or care about anything out of place. He just quickly put showed Harry his skates, put them on, and did tricks almost as good as his sister's.

Later, when they all went inside where the rest of the Weasley clan was celebrating Christmas and Bill was sneaking food too his very pregnant wife, who didn't want to seem like a hog, Ginny was off to the side, watching her loved ones.

"I'm lucky, you know that." Harry whispered into her ear, as he wrapped his arms around her waist and set hit head on her shoulder.

"I think I'm the lucky one." Ginny whispered back kissing him slightly on the lips.

Harry shook his head, tickling Ginny's temple with his messy hair.

"I'm lucky, because not only do I get you, I get all this too." He lifted his hand to show her entire family, and she knew what he meant, but she still wouldn't deny the truth.

She was the lucky one.

Harry kissed her lightly on the cheek before asking, in a slightly huskier voice, "What do you say we finish our little ice-skating episode."

Another thing she loved about winter:

Spiked Egg-Nog.

When I reread this what I thought of was the little girl from Despiciple Me screaming "It's so fluffy I could die". please Review and tell me what you were thinking as you read it and afterwords, even before if you feel like it. Much love, Granola Girl 1115
