He was gone. How could this happen? Dean could hardly believe it, but the proof was right in the mirror. His angel was dead. How could Dean survive without the lovable unknowingness that used to grace the room whenever Cass showed up or the awkward silences in motel rooms that could only be held by Cass. Castiel knew he was dieing and kept it to himself. Only when Cass couldn't take the pain did he tell Dean. The scars from Cass's wings were forever his now. No one could take away the pain he felt when Castiel died and his wings were forever burned into the skin of Dean Winchester. And this is how things went until the day when Dean Winchester died. As Dean looked for his exit door out of his heaven it was then he realized that if Cass was still alive he would have showed up already, but he wasn't there and no matter how many times Dean had prayed for the angel Castiel to come to him Castiel never showed. Only then was it that Dean had wished the world had ended back in 2014. It would be so much better to be in heaven with Castiel with the whole world in the trasher then the world safe, but Castiel was the price.
