Sixteen-year-old James Potter and Sirius Black walked into the library. A rare sight for a Saturday,or any day for that matter. They ran across the room trying to hold in fits of laughter as they hid behind a bookcase. James looked around the corner to see Lily Evans reading, just reading. How boring. They would have to change that. He watched her as she read.
"Prongs. Prongs...OI! PRONGS!" Sirius whisper-shouted, slapping James on the shoulder.
"WHAT?!"
"You're staring again. You had the 'Evans' face."
"So?" He quickly returned to his staring.
"The bet? 10 galleons Evans curses, slaps, hexes, hits, jinxes or causes bodily harm to you after five pickup lines?"
"You're on." They shook hands and James took a random book from the shelf. "How's my hair?"
"Terrible."
"Perfect."

"Hello, Lily. Is this seat empty?" James asked, pulling the chair next to Lily out from under the table and pretended to read, not waiting for her to answer.
"Yes, Potter, and this one will be too if you sit down."
"If I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put I and U together." He braced himself. What was this? No slap? Prongs 1 Padfoot 0
"Oh really, because if I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd
put F and U together." Oh well, still not hurt.
"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" Nothing? Prongs 2 Padfoot 0
"Did it hurt when they kicked you out of hell?" Lily said without looking up from her book.
"I would die for you, Flower," he said. This was pushing it.
"Proove it, Potter," she said, finally looking up. She looked at him with those emerald eyes, actually, it was more of a glare, but she was still looking at him. 3-0
"I can tell that you want me," James said trying not to be too arrogant.
"Ohhhh. You're so right."
"What?! Prongs 4, Padfoot 0!" Oops. 4-0!
"I want you... to leave."
"I would go to the end of the world for you." No pain! 5-0! Prongs wins!
"Yes, but would you stay there?"
"I looked up beautiful in the thesaurus today and your name was
included."
"What a coincidence, I saw your picture next to 'bloody nose' in the dictionary!"
"Wha-? Oh, shi-!" Her fist colided with his face and his nose almost immediatly started bleeding, she left in a hurry. Sirius came out from behind the book case, laughing and handed James the galleons. His nose may be bleeding, but it was worth it. Not the money, but the fact that Lily Evans touched him! He ran into the hallway screaming,
"OI! EVERYONE, GUESS WHAT LILY DID IN THE LIBRARY!"
End.
