A/N
MEGA SPOILERS. LIKE, SERIOUSLY. FOREWARNED.
Just listened to all of the Mirai Nikki character songs, and my heart's.. broken. I think I just want to curl up and self-destruct. This is a subtle outcome of my angst. But, perfect mood upper while I was writing this? Kousaka's theme played, and I couldn't help laughing at the brilliant ridiculousness of it.
Review if you wish, but most of all, enjoy.
It's a sad story of tragedy and romance.
The three young children, all so foolishly in love and all so selfishly broken.
The self-inflicted emotional injuries and the skillful cuts and bruises inflicted on one another indicate how much of their hearts they put in their love.
Amano Yukiteru only longed to be loved, yearning for friendships and protection.
Gasai Yuno only wished to have a future, one with the one she loved forever.
Akise Aru only dreamed of saving the one he loved and providing him with all that he could provide.
All simple requests asked of the world, all fiercely denied.
The pure heart of a boy who wanted to see the stars, the defiled heart of a girl who wanted to be held with love and not pushed away with hate, and the driven heart of a boy who wanted to solve the mysteries of the world all intertwined in the most sinister of ways in a twisted game of death.
It's a wonder of whether it were fate or not, or if all of the tragedy that occurred had been avoidable.
The shaking of Yukiteru's hands as he pulled the dreaded trigger and the screams of the friends he had craved so long.
Yuno having to bare witness to the fact that she had once held a dead Yukki in her arms.
Aru's voice being stolen from him, not able to speak the words he wished to.
Destiny was cruel, allowing the three to be so close to what they wanted, and snatching it all away with a bloodthirsty hand.
The moment they met they were imprisoned to an inescapable demise.
If the boy with teary cobalt eyes' parents never divorced, would he have broken?
If the girl wielding the crimson blade's father protected her from her mother's abuse, would she have lost sanity?
If the boy with alabaster hair had committed a despicable sin, would he have survived?
Maybe it was fated for happiness to not be gifted to those three youths, all so foolishly in love and all so selfishly broken.
