"Say it together now." Professor Longbottom commanded.

"riddikulus." The class chanted back at him.

"Good, good" Longbottom said with a hint of pride. "Now. Line up, and step in the front of the boggart. Just like we practiced."

Abigail, a third year Slytherin, peered over her fellow students heads to get a good look at the front of the line. Barbra Cornitch, a Slytherin, stepped forward out of line and held out her wand, a dueling stance, just as a dragon appeared. Barbara inched back and stammered, "riddikulus." The dragon shrunk into a graceful butterfly which fluttered onto her nose. The students clapped and Longbottom's "Well done!" Was muffled in the crowed.

Next, a scrawny Ravenclaw boy Michael Johnson stepped forward. A lion roared and Micheal shouted, "riddikulus!" the lion shrunk taking on a new form, a kitten. Everyone clapped with an extra whistle from Longbottom.

Abigail would've laughed but something was keeping her from it. She found that her hands were shaking and her heart was pounding.

Before she knew it Longbottom was issuing her forward. What is her greatest fear, she pondered. Abigail looked up and saw, not a spider or a snake, but her father.

"Hello dearest." He purred, "Have you been a good girl today?"

Tears were blurring her view. Head spinning she tried to bring herself together. "R-r-ridi-" she was tumbling to the floor, and fell to her knees. "Riddik-" she sobbed

"No?" Her father barked. "We're gonna have to do something about that then are we?" He came forward and hovered over her, reaching out to touch her.

Just then. When Abigail was gonna let him do to her what he always does, Professor Longbottom stepped in front of her. She couldn't see anything though. With her hands covering her face crumpled to the floor.

"Riddikulus!" Longbottom shouted. "Class dismissed."
