He screams and the person who is at his side it´s not who he expects, Regina looks worried and he can´t help but feel guilty for never really show affection to her, he tries to convince himself that she is evil and for that reason didn´t deserve a good treatment, but sounds hollow, even in his own mind.

She calls Mr. Gold to help him, and he knows how much that have cost her, admit she needs help from him it´s something that she would only do in times of despair, and the fact that she did it for him did make his guilt about not being the best of sons even bigger. Mr. Gold helps him and Henry can´t help but wonder if the curse was that terrible, since it really seems that it had changed both of them for the good.

When night came, Henry is afraid to sleep even with his new necklace, he fears the nightmare, and he can´t help but remember being afraid of sleeping when he was six and being tucked away by a very motherly Regina, he remembers safety and caring for the time and hold a tear. A lot of things happened since then, but he misses that moment even if it was just a lie. He is scared to go back asleep, so he gathers the last few drops of courage inside of him and ask to Regina:

If it is not a trouble… would be okay if I could sleep with you?

Regina smiles sadly, a flashback from the past passing through her head and she answers:

Of course honey.

As Henry slides next to her in bed, he decides to give her another chance, he decides to give them another chance, baby steps, he says to himself while she holds his hand, it feels new but oddly familiar, trust, even if she is the evil queen and he is the grandson of Snow white and Prince Charming, in that moment they´re mom and son, as they were once upon a time, as they were meant to be.
