His Juliet

Blake thought he was prepared to take revenge for the death of his parents. He dreamed about the day he could bring the man who took everything away from him and Hunter to justice since they became orphans. He was ready to sacrifice everything in order to finally retain some level of peace in his life so he can finally mourn properly. He knew the rangers were gonna be a problem that he and his brother would have to overcome after they took their revenge. But he never planned on one of the rangers capturing his heart.

As they held their sensei captive in a ball, Tori Hanson stared at him with glossy eyes. "Blake?"

"I'm sorry but we had to find the Ninja Ops. I didn't mean to use you." He replied low and softly with as much sincerity as he could muster. Watching her look away from him heartbroken made his own heart twinge with guilt.

When she looked back at him her voice was shaky with emotion. "If you hurt him I will hunt you down."

He maintained eye contact with her with the same amount of pain and sorrow that was evident in her declaration. They didn't want to fight. They didn't want to go after each other. But he had to get revenge with Hunter. This was their goal.

"Leave him." Hunter said, letting their hostage go with a shove while Blake let him go with less force. "We got what we want. Goodbye rangers and good luck in your future battles."

Before vanishing, Blake took one last look at Tori and ingrained it in his mind. When they were in the woods and far away from Ninja Ops he took his fist and slammed it into a tree. Hunter looked at him with concern, "What's the matter?" He asked with a cock of his head.

"Why'd it turn out like this?" He asked after a moment of silence between them. His fist still throbbing from his punch and his heart still in pain from Tori's eyes.

Hunter stared at him and shook his head. "You know why bro."

Blake wanted to go back and apologize to Tori with all his heart. He wanted to wipe away the tears he saw form in her eyes when she registered his betrayal and he wanted her to stay away from harm. But that couldn't happen. She was furious and ready to hunt him down for her own revenge with her friends if they successfully kill her sensei. He knew it would be better to throw his feelings for her out the window but he couldn't. Somehow they were stronger than ever and he knew they were forbidden. He could never tell her about his feelings. Not while they were enemies.

"I defy you stars." He whispered to himself. Not knowing sensei was hearing from his imprisonment or Hunter looking at him with sympathetic eyes.

"Come on. We gotta get moving." Hunter said, walking over and placing his hand on his shoulder. "We got a job to do."

Blake nodded and walked with him from the tree and towards the direction of the cavern while thoughts of Tori raced through his mind.
