We were talking about Sir Francis Drake in AP history a few weeks back and Coach told a story about a Spanish captain that went along the lines of how Drake tells it. Now, when he was telling us this story I couldn't help but think of Sir Drake relaying this story to England and Antonio being the captain. So, enjoy~!

The long-haired Sea-Dog wades his way through the large crowd of Englishmen.

"Sir Drake! My boy, come here!"

Drake turns, smiling at the familiar voice.
"Arthur! It's nice to see you again!"

The smiling face of Arthur Kirkland appears out of the crowd, England pushing his people away gently.

Drake hugs the smaller man, lifting him up in the air. The thinning crowd around them laughs heartily as Arthur kicks his legs through the air.

"You bloody git, put me down! I don't like to be manhandled!"
The Brit shouts, still flailing about.
Drake laughs and sets the man down. Arthur smoothed his dark red overcoat and gives a small "Hmph!"

The Sea-Dog smiles. "Calm down, calm down. I'm not France, you know."
He says, putting an arm around Arthur's shoulders.

Arthur shrugs, knocking off the arm. "Don't touch me, Sir Francis. I don't like to be touched. Too many run-ins with France."

Sir Drake chuckles, "Ah, yes. Sir Francis Bonnefoy," he smirks at the Brit, "Quite a pirate that man can be. A few skirmishes with him, you know you're lucky to live."

Arthur shakes his head, "On another note, did you capture any gold this round?"

Drake throws his head back, "Ah, yes! Quite a number of Spanish ships let us onboard if you can imagine."

Arthur snorts, "Their Antonio's crews so it's really no astonishment. What did you say to get you on?"

Drake steps over a spilled wooden crate. "You won't believe it! I came up to the ship, I called out, "¡Hola! I'm Señor Francis Drake and I have come to take your gold back to England. Do you know what they said?"

Arthur chuckles, "What? They're Spanish, they probably didn't understand you."

Drake shakes his head and laughs, "They understood me perfectly! They said, "Sí, Sí, come aboard! Señor Antonio wants to see you! They lowered us some ropes to lift us and we climbed up. When we got up ol' Captain Cariedo himself was standing on deck waiting for us. I walked up to him, told him the same thing and you'll never believe what he said."

"What did he say?"

Drake chuckles at the older man's enthusiasm,
"He told me to join him for dinner. While we ate, my men carried it out, back to our ship."

Arthur laughs a surprised laugh. "You're joking! He can't possibly have done that. I know he's an idiot but... It's not possible!"

Drake guffaws, "Isn't it? But, the funny part is what I heard him say to the look-out as we left.
He said, and I quote, 'That was the nicest man I've ever met.'"
