Mathew was sitting in one side of a booth at a small corner diner. Most people didn't notice the diner when they walked past. It faded into the background. But the people who did know about it knew that it was a place for new beginnings. And at that moment in time, it was also a time for ends.

Mathew was facing away from the door. He didn't want to see when Alfred came in. He didn't want to see the anger that he knew would be there. So he sat and waited. No waiter came to his table. They knew. Mathew didn't know how they knew, but they did.

Mathew was embarrassed to be sitting there, but Alfred had insisted it be here. And how could Mathew deny him that one thing? Really, how could he say no?

And Mathew wasn't dumb. He knew very well that Alfred wanted him to suffer, sitting there, silently being judged for his mistake.

Mathew stared at his hands. He knew when Alfred had walked in, without even looking to the door. He could tell by the change in atmosphere. Lovino at the counter went to the back, where he hissed at Gilbert to quit staring.

He stared at the table and watched Alfred's feet approach and then watched them slide under the table as Alfred sat down across from Mathew. Mathew refused to life his head. He refused to say anything. Honestly, he was afraid about what was going to happen.

Alfred cleared his throat. Mathew lifted his head slowly and looked into Alfred's eyes, saw the burning anger. He flinched and bit his bottom lip as he started to tear up a little. "I'm sorry…" He whispered.

"Yeah, I bet you are sorry, Mathew. But you should have thought about that before."

Mathew looked at his hands. "P-please… I… I'm sorry… so sorry…"

Alfred laughed, ending the laugh with a growl. "Mathew, I told you. I told you three years ago when we got together. What did I tell you?"

Mathew whimpered.

"That isn't an answer, Mattie."

Mathew flinched at the pet name, which had been spit out.

"I told you Mathew."

Mathew nodded, slowly looking up into Alfred's eyes.

"Well what do you have to say for yourself?" Alfred asked.

"I changed my mind…" He whispered.

"Wrong answer." Alfred pulled Mathew and toward the exit.

Mathew looked around for help but no one looked at him. Everyone averted their eyes, not wanting to be a part of that mess.

"You are mine." Alfred growled, "Mine or no one's."

"Alfred, we can work this out!" Mathew said as Alfred shoved him against the brick wall.

"Too late. You've broken my trust."

Two Days Later

Kiku looked around the little shop as he entered. He for sure wouldn't have noticed it, except for he had watched someone walk out and had become intrigued. He walked to a booth in the back and sat down. A few moment later someone cleared their throat next to him. Kiku looked up.

A male wearing glasses with the brightest blue eyes was looking at him. He smiled and said, "Can I join you?" Kiku reluctantly nodded

The male slid into the booth across from him and said, "My name is Alfred."

"I am Kiku. Nice to meet you." He answered politely.

Lovino and Gilbert looked over to the table. Lovino sighed and Gilbert grinned.

"Did you get that meat that Alfred brought in?" Lovino asked Gilbert.

Gilbert nodded. "I've never seen any like it. But I'm using it for the barbeque."

Lovino nodded and said, "Well, I'm not eating any, and I wouldn't if I were you either." He shuddered.

Gilbert shrugged.

A few moments later Alfred asked Kiku what he wanted. "I, uh. I'm not sure."

"Well what's your favorite, dude?"

"I'm not sure…"

"You should try the barbeque. It's mine."

Kiku nodded and as he turned to order, a grin slowly spread across Alfred's face.

Wow, that was way creepier than I thought it would turn out. So yeah… What did you think?
