Ron looked at Hermione who was sitting cross legged on his bed, papers strewn around her and a quill in her hand. She had been driving herself insane lately with trying to fill out an application.
That's right. All of that was just for a silly application for her very first job. Ron sighed as she closed three books and dumped them on his floor. Why she had chosen his roo out of everyone else's, he would never know.
He knew that there was a large chance she didn't even know he was there because a radio was on and a muggle song was playing, Hermione singing along softly as she focoused on her work.
I don't
wanna rush this thing
I don't wanna jump the gun
I really wanna
say those three little words
But I'm gonna bite my tongue
Yeah,
I'm just gonna lay on back
Leave it on cruise control
I'm gonna
hold it all inside
Till the right time comes down the road
Wow…that was a BIT to much of his and Hermione's relationship for his liking. He strained to hear more.
I got a
feelin'
My head's a reelin'
My heart is screamin'
I'm about
to bust loose
Bottled up emotion
It's more than a notion
It
starts with an "I"
And ends with a "U"
I
got a feelin'
Are you feelin' it too
His eyes widened. He KNEW that song! It was on a CD that Ginny gave him for Christmas the previous year. She said he had to listen to it everyday until he got the picture.
And it seemed Ron had gotten the picture.
"Hermione…can I talk to you?" he asked, moving a huge pile of papers and books and turning the volume down.
"Uh…yeah sure…let me just…" she finished off her sentence and looked up at him grinning. "Okay. What's up?"
So he told her. What else could he do? He knew Ginny would smack him if he didn't. Hell HARRY would probably smack him. Hermione might even send a few unforgiveables his way for interrupting her for no reason.
"I…you…you see Hermione…I think…no…I KNOW that I…I…sorta…I kinda…oh hell with it…I love you Hermione."
Hermione was awestruck and she just sort of sat there. Ron could still just barely hear the music.
I guess
I've all but said it now
So much for hopin' you'd go first
Don't
leave me hangin' out here on a line
Baby, it's your turn
Say
you couldn't sleep last night
Swore that you could feel me
breathe
Had you wantin' me there by your side
Yeah, baby I know
what you mean
"This is the part where you talk…" he said nervously, blushing furiously and having the mad urge to pound his head repeatedly into the wall. She didn't feel the same. He was SO going to kill Ginny.
"Oh Ron…she mumbled, eyes wide. "I…are you sure?" she asked. Ron furrowed his brow. Was he sure? Of course he was! "Yeah Hermione…I'm pretty damn positive…" he said mildly confused.
"Yeah but…WHY?" she asked. "What do you mean? Why wouldn't i? You're brilliant and beautiful and caring and the sweetest person I've ever met, and you're my best friend. What is there NOT to love about you?"
"But you're wrong. I'm not beautiful…I mean come on Ron…you just had Lavender Brown…I'm nothing compared to her. Compared to her I'm-"
"Compared to her you are STILL the most beautiful, the most brilliant, and the most brave girl I've ever met."
"You don't get out much do you." She sid under her breath.
Ron laughed lightly. "Hermione…I mean it. I love you. And only you. Forever."
"Good….because I most definitely love you Ron Weasley."
Ron grinned and moved forward the slightest bit, pressing his lips ever so gently to hers.
Bottled up
emotion
It's more than a notion
It starts with an "I"
And
ends with a "U"
I got a feelin'
You're feelin' it
too
You're feelin' it too
Yeah, you're feelin' it too
Feelin'
it too
Oh, Yeah
A/N Okay...SUPER short i know. But definately expect a sequal soon. This was just a short sweet one...481 words without the song. So yeah. it's a oneshot with a sequal on the way!
