This is inspired from The Black Keys' "Little Black Submarines" and a deviant artist's quote that love isn't blind but gives you a different perspective. Well, when Bolin had his heart broken, I really wanted to write about it, and I was thinking of "Little Black Submarines" so here you go. Disclaimer: I don't own Legend of Korra or the song.

Love is blind, Bolin thought between overindulgences of noodles. It means that love makes one blind to their lover's flaws and enhances their goodness. Well, that ain't true. Love is perspective, making one see past their lover's thoughts only to see the beautiful diamond in the rough. And that was Korra, a diamond in the rough. Bolin fell in love with that diamond. Bolin was a number one lady's man, always seen with a girl around his arm, but all those girls were fangirls. Bolin came to know fangirls as psychotic probender worshipers. They were all crazy and madly in love with Bolin's looks, good charm, and awesome earthbending skills. Sometimes they scared the heck out of Bolin, but that didn't stop him from bringing one backstage, and then when he met Korra, he thought she was another one of those crazy fangirl stalkers. But he was wrong.

"I should've seen it glow"

Bolin took a swig out noodle broth and slammed the bowl on the table. "More please!" A waitress brought him another bowl. Bolin stuffed the noodles in his mouth with thoughts of Korra. Yeah, he fell on love with that diamond in the rough. Love granted him a whole new perspective. Bolin was able to chisel through rocky layers of hot headiness, rebelliousness, wildness, stubbornness, and sharp-tongues only to find that beautiful diamond of a beautiful, funny, strong, determined girl. Bolin fell in love with his diamond – the girl of his dreams. He was not blind to her faults rather he complimented them as was shown through their date.

"But everybody knows"

Bolin thought Korra knew how he felt, and he thought Korra felt the same way about him. But Korra shattered love's perspective with a kiss to no other than his own brother. Dreams and blood broke his heart and betrayed him, respectively. The fragments of his heart and the shattered glass of love's perspective scattered into the wind with the rose petals from the beautiful pink roses intended for Korra. "Guess I'm loved at all. Not by my girlfriend, not by my brother. I'm not worth loving at all," Bolin lamented between muffled cries and tears. Pabu crawls over to Boin and licks his tears away. Bolin scratches Pabu's head. "Thanks buddy. You're the only one I can love and trust."

"That a broken heart is blind"

"You know what, Pabu?" Bolin drunkenly asked. Pabu cocked his head. "Love isn't blind, but broken hearts sure are. Love is limited to your type, but broken hearts blindly murder anyone. They don't care at all." Bolin stuffed his face with noodles. "Love sucks, Pabu!" Korra was his type. Bolin met other girls who were his type, but for whatever reason, they just weren't good enough. Maybe it's because they only loved him because he was an earthbender. There were other girls out there like Asami, but no matter how nice or funny they are, they just weren't Bolin's type. Broken hearts don't need types. They just need your girlfriend and your brother to kiss each other without any regards to your feelings. Yup, broken hearts are blind.

"That a broken heart is blind"

"Love is perspective, Pabu, but broken hearts are blind," Bolin muttered dazedly before passing out.

Critique would be nice. I'm not the best person when it comes to writing drabbles so I would like some CC on how to write them or to imprpove them
