Detective Erin Lindsay took a sharp intake of air and began to speak, "Nadia was my roommate and one of my closest friends. We met when I arrested her, she was a mess. She became a CI and she got herself together though, she went to rehab and got clean. It was then that Nadia decided she wanted to become a cop. She got a job as a secretary at CPD and started taking classes in criminology. She'd stay up all night studying, when I'd get home from work late she would be studying with a cup of coffee in her hand. This was Nadia's dream, to become a Chicago police officer and she worked so damn hard at it, but before she could reach it...she was gone. Nadia was going to officially be a cop in a few weeks and she was...ecstatic. God, it's all I heard about from her and now I hear nothing. I was so proud of her. Nadia died tragically and it must have been her cop instincts that helped her bring down a serial killer and rapist even after she was gone. She was the definition of a fighter, she died fighting. Nadia was the best and we'll miss her dearly.
