Don't Take The Girl
Lily/Jackson

Robbie Ray led Jackson through the gate of the glittery blue lake.

Jackson looked over his shoulder and glanced back at the gate.
A little girl stood there at the gate holding on to her fishing pole tightly.
Jackson broke his gaze as his dad leaned down and smiled, "I'm sorry Bud, but we can't leave her behind."
Jackson rolled his eyes and looked back at him, "Dad, she's a girl, girls don't fish, it's a man's sport."
"Jackson, trust me, one day you'll think me for this." Robbie said.

"Dad, come on, take anyone, take Oliver, take anyone, take Cooper, but don't let this girl go with us!" he begged.
But it was too late, Robbie had made his way over to the little girl and was leading her to the small John boat.
She smiled at Jackson as she snapped on her life vest.
For a strange reason, Jackson couldn't help but smile back.

10 years later, Jackson and Lily walked out of the Los Angeles Hannah Montana concert.
Lily tugged off her 'Lola' wig as Jackson led her out of the coliseum and wrapped his arm around her and kissed her on the lips.
"Man, I've been going undercover with Miley for three years now, and I still get the creeps from these parking garages."
As soon as she said those words, a stranger came out of the corner and pulled out a gun and grabbed her by the arm and pointed the gun at her head.
Lilly began to cry, "Jackson! Help!"
"Do what I tell you to and I won't lay a hand on your precious girlfriend." The man said.
Jackson pulled out his khaki Quicksilver wallet out of his back pocket and shoved it in the guys hand, "Here's my wallet!"
"It's all in there, money, credit cards, everything, and here's my watch, and the key to my blue BMW, it's parked on the third floor." He said, "Take my car and everything in it, but don't take Lily."
The guy pushed Lily to the ground as he ran off with every thing Jackson had given him.
Jackson leaned down to Lily who was sedate on the floor, sobbing and uttering his name under her breath.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and cried on his shoulder, "Jackson…"
"It's all over." Jackson said, stroking her hair, trying to calm her down, "I'm going to call my Dad, he'll come get us, okay."
Lily nodded as she still was trying to catch her breath as the scene kept replaying in her head.

"Jackson!" Lily exclaimed as she shook her husband awake.
"Wh-at." He sighed as he glanced at the clock that read 3:45 AM.
"I-It's T-Time, Now!" she gasped.

Hours later, he sat in the Malibu E.R. as he nervously awaited news of Lily and his new son, Jase.
The doctor came out of an office and went up to Jackson.
"Mr. Stewart, I am very pleased to tell you that Jase is doing fine, but I'm afraid to tell you that you'll have to go, because Lily isn't doing well at all and isn't expected to live through the night."
Jackson didn't believe what he heard.
"What?"
"I'm sorry, but it's true." The doctor said before walking off.

Jackson hit his knees in the middle of the Emergency room and prayed.
"Take the breath from me, rip my heart out of my chest, I'll take her place, I'll sacrifice myself, This is my last request, Take me out of this world, but don't take Lily, God, just don't take Lily."
But sadly, it was too late.

Eight years later, Jackson opened the gate to the same lake where his dad first introduced him to Lily, 23 years ago.
This time Jase was tagging along behind him asking him all different questions concerning fishing, catching fish, what different kinds of fish there were, and which boat they would use.
As Jase got in the boat, Jackson took one last look at the location where he first saw Lily, before heading out with Jase, just like his dad did with him.
