Summary: Cal and a McDonalds... need I say more? Also, not betaed
McDonalds
Cal:
See! Right over there! You just stay here and eat your fish food and Ill go over and eat some real food! I gestured to the joint across the street.
Do I trust you enough to go by yourself into a public place? Damnit Niko
Sure, a glare from my older brother had me rethink that. Lowering my head I dreamed of delicious cheeseburgers, slathered in grease and onions. Yum. How about I promise to not shoot anyone, his eyebrows rose, unless they get my order wrong.
Cal, why cant you just enjoy the edible food? Niko gave a slight frown and looked over to where my eyes had trailed over to.
Because it doesn't have that tasty, grease filled deliciousness that a cheeseburger does! I looked back to the menu that hung over the counter. What am I gonna eat here? Cranberry muffins? I scoffed. Don't make me laugh.
Maybe you should imagine it is the thing you like to eat most: inedible food. I guarantee it will taste just like it to you. I stayed silent, deciding it wasn't worth it to get into it with Nik right here. Knowing Nik, he'd throw me over the counter and then proceed to shove the muffins down my throat.
Goddamn the Auphe sense of smell. Goddamn health food store being right next to McDonalds! GODDAMNIT!
"Fine, little brother." I looked at Nik who was sighing, "Go ahead and get your burger." I'm pretty sure my mouth dropped open. Niko? Giving up? What was the catch?
"Then I'm gonna go now..." I waited for him to stop me, and as I turned my back and crossed the parking lot, pounce on me. Needless to say, I picked the table that had the best point to watch for Niko.
Niko:
I'd reluctantly allowed Cal to go to the fast food chain (if one could call it food). Now, however, I was beginning to slowly loose my control. Cal, in a restaurant, where orders were sure to be mixed up somehow, with a Desert Eagle. I quickly paid the cashier and crossed the parking lot. The atrocious smell of grease and salt overpowering even the smell of the city. And he chose to eat here? That didn't surprise me. Cal had, ever since an early age, preferred the hot dog stand hot dogs to a nutritious meal ever since we'd been on the run.
So imagine my surprise to come in and not find the place destroyed, but as calm and serene Cal could be, sitting at a table, I noted the table was set so he could look over and see me.
He looked up from the burger in his hands and gave a cocky smile. He'd be regretting that.
"And what are you eating?" I looked at the food, then at a hanging picture that proclaimed it to be a "Big Mac". "Arterial Clogger?"
"Yup." He swallowed and looked at me. "Whattya want?" he finished the sandwich and took a swig from the cardboard glass.
"I came to tell you we're leaving." he rose warily.
"Are'nt you proud I didn't destroy anything?" he still looked wary. I chuckled.
"Yes, very."
"So what do you want... physical exertion? Y'know, for me coming here?" I didn't let my smile show.
"Absolutely nothing."
Cal:
It was only when we'd gotten in the car and begun driving that Nik looked, smiled and said the worst thing a person ever could to me.
"Let's go for a run."
Yup. How did I ever guess?
