Chris is lying on the bed slowly slipping away; Leo is by his side talking to him. "Chris! NO, please don't die, please God don't let him die." Leo starts sobbing into the bed mumbling things through his tears.
Piper is leaning against the doorframe with her had over her mouth crying.
Through the back window of a 59' wagon, I watched my best friend Jamie slipping further away. I kept on waving till I couldn't see her, and through my tears I asked again why we couldn't stay.
Chris started fading in and out, "Dad, mom, I'm so sorry, I love you both so much, please do all you can to save Wyatt."
Piper moved in and kneeled big pregnant belly and all.
Chris held her hand and Leo's as Piper rubbed his arm.
"Please Chris, hang on, PLEASE!" Piper said as she started to cry again.
"Mom, it hurts too much to hold on, its okay, I know that its my time."
Piper rubbed his head and forced a smile, "I love you, and its okay to let go."
Momma whispered softly, time will ease your pain, life's about changing, nothing ever stays the same. She said how can I help you, to say goodbye, its okay to hurt and its okay to cry, come let me hold you and I will try, how can I help you, to say goodbye.
Chris completely faded out; all that was left was a tear from him on the bed.
Leo's eyes went wide. "NO! Chris, NO!
Piper pursed her lips and wiped away her tears, she rose and sat on the bed, for the first time ever, she had to be the strong one and let Leo cry.
I sat on our bed, he packed his suitcase, I held a picture of out wedding day. His hands were trembling, we both were crying. He kissed me gently and then he quickly walked away.
Piper hugged him tight, "It will be okay."
Leo looked at her, " no it won't, and it never will be."
Piper's eyes went wide; "You may be seeing Chris sooner than you thought."
"What?" Leo said, and then he saw that the bed was wet.
I called up momma she said time will ease your pain, life's about changing, nothing ever stays the same, and she said, how can I help you to say goodbye? It's okay to hurt and its okay to cry, come let me hold you and I will try, how can I help you...to say goodbye?
Leo orbed her to the hospital and got her ready, "I'll be right back." He orbed back to the house.
Piper could feel his pain and heartache.
Leo tore the house up and he shot everything that he could, he screamed and cried until he almost couldn't breath. The phone rang, but he didn't care, at least not until it was Phoebe's voice on the other end, "LEO! Pick up! Piper's dying! QUICK GET HERE!"
Leo orbed to the hospital, "NO! First Chris, now Piper!" Leo yelled.
"Chris is dead?" Phoebe said.
Leo went in, Piper was sweating and crying, she looked up at him and smiled, "the future has changed so much, Chris said I wouldn't die till he was fourteen, Leo, love them for me." She was still trying to be strong.
Sitting with momma, along in her bedroom, she opened her eyes and then squeezed my hand. She said I have to go now, my time here is over, and with her final words she tried to help me understand.
Leo tried to heal Piper, but to no avail. The love of his life was dying right in front of him, and there was nothing he could do about, he was going crazy.
