Chapt. 1- The Beginning
"You are kdding me right?" a young Kaitlyn said staring with great disbelief at her parents, Barbara and Dick Grayson. "You were Bat Girl and Robin? Oh my god, no! What happened? Why did you vanish? Who is Bat Man?"
"Kaitlyn calm down. I understand you have questions and there will be plenty of time for answers but not now. We have work to do. Bat Man and Cat Woman have a son who is your age now. He is getting this same talk as we speak." Dick spoke.
Kaitlyn started to say something but her father interupted, "I know you have heard of our enemies and many stories of them. The Joker has a son, we have managed to keep track of him all these years. His son is also your age."
"Does this mean he is the one who has been robbing the local banks?" Kaitlyn asked.
Barbara and Dick looked at each other and sighed.
"We don't know honey. We think so." Barbara said pushing her daughter's hair behind her ear.
"To get to the point Gotham is in desperate need of a super hero. Your mother and I are way to old to do this. We need you to become Bat Girl."
All Kaitlyn could do was stare. This was probally, no with out a doubt, the biggest shock of her life.
MEAN WHILE
"You can not be serious!" Seth exclaimed to his parents. "You are Bat Man and Cat Woman!"
"Yes we are now before you start bugging your mother and I with questions we need to tell you something else." his father, Bruce, said.
"You know of the recent bank robberys correct?" his mother, Selina, said. When Seth nodded his head she continued, "We have reason to believe it is the Joker's son."
"Gotham is in need of a new crime fighting team, even if it is just two. Robin and Bat Girl are giving their daughter this talk right now. Gotham needs you son, we need a new Bat Man. Can you take my place?" his father said.
LATER IN THE WEEK- IN THE OLD BAT CAVE
The old Bat Cave was terribly old so as you imagine they had to build a new one. It was located halfway between the Grayson and Wayne households. They had tunnels leading to it from each house. It was built so that the new Bat Girl and Robin could live there with the other super heros who might move in.
"Kaitlyn I would like you to meet the previous Bruce Wayne and his wife Selina. The former Bat Man and Cat Woman. More importantly I want you to meet their son, Seth." Barbara said.
"He-he-he-hel-hello." she managed to stutter. He was gorgeous looking. She could feel her face turning red and noticed his was doing the same.
"Hello." he said and she extended her hand to shake his but her simply grabbed it and kissed the top of it. She could feel her face turning redder.
Barbara realizing what was happening stepped in, "Now it's time to talk about your training."
