Rancis' POV

I was walking around Sugar Rush late one night. I was so awake, and I haven't slept in a few days cause a lot of things have been on my mind.

As I wandered, I saw a silhouette in the dark just sitting on top of one of the mountains. I could tell it was a girl by the ponytail hanging down her back.

I walked a little closer to the girl, and saw that the girl was actually Vanellope. As her face came into view with the rest of her body, my heart suddenly skipped a beat.

She was wearing her usual green hoodie, which included a blue tanktop and her usual brown skirt. She had grown up so damn well over the last 6 years.

I got close enough to sit next to her without her knowing. She had a vacant look on her face, just focused on the stars in the sky.

"A Penny for your thoughts, Vanellope?" I asked her, whispering in her ear as I said it.

Vanellope jumped and turned to me with a startled look on her face. "Rancis, you fricking butterfingers! You scared the living crap out of me." she said to me.

I chuckled a bit at the nickname she called me. She has always called me "Butterfingers" to make fun of me since we were kids...I always secretly found it cute.

I followed her gaze as she was looking up to the stars again. "It's a beautiful night out here isn't it?" I whispered to her again.

Vanellope continued to look up at the sky... her hazel eyes sparkling as the stars hit them just right. Good God she was so beautiful, I used to secretly think so as a kid. But now I think so even more.

Six years worth of totally having a crush on her...and now I think I've completely fallen head over heels in love with her.

I then touched her shoulder and cupped her chin, turning her head so that her eyes met mine again.

"Vanellope, are you alright? You look upset about something. What's troubling you? You look distant." I told her.

Vanellope hung her head down, and sighed heavily "I have just been so lonely lately...that's about it. Ralph hardly comes to see me anymore. I mean, I haven't seen him in a month." she told me.

I sighed slightly. She had been sad since Ralph stopped visiting her on a daily or weekly basis.

"Vanellope, I want you to know that you will never be alone...even when Ralph isn't around. I will be here for you." I told her.

Vanellope looked confused at me. Her face suddenly contoured into one of sheer confusion.

"Rancis, what are you trying to tell me exactly?" she asked me, tilting her head slightly.

I took her hand with my free hand, and looked deeper into her eyes. I wasn't sure how I was gonna tell her my feelings, so I just decided that I would come out with it.

"Vanellope, for 6 damn years I have kept this a secret from you, but now I think that its about time I told you what I've been holding in all these years." I said to her.

Vanellope rolled her eyes at me, signaling her slight annoyance.

"For Christ sakes, Butterfingers! Say something already to me!" She snapped at me loudly.

"DAMN IT, VANELLOPE! I LOVE YOU!" I yelled back to her.

Just then out of nowhere, Vanellope grabbed my face and kissed me on the lips hard. Her lips were so soft like velvet.
I took control and grabbed her around her waist, deepening the kiss.

The kiss seemed to last forever, but when it was broken, I looked in her eyes, searching for a reaction of some sorts.

"Anything you wanna say, Vanellope?" I asked her with a smile.

Vanellope nodded slightly "Yes... I love you too, Rancis." she said.

With those words, I grabbed her and kissed her again passionately. From this point on, we knew things were going to change between us forever.
