Well, why did that have to be the one thing you were wrong about.
My life had been pretty good with all things considered
I had a home, friends, family, dreams.
Oh God did I have dreams
About the past, present, future, things I wished for
What I wanted to do with my time here on earth.
Simple pleasures were good enough for me.
Like fresh air and the chance to run around in open spaces without a care.
But that all changed when I fell in love with you
You told me you loved me and I believed every word, every lie
You said that love lasts forever
You said that I was your perfect fit
Then how could you leave me hear crying in the rain
Rethinking everything that you said
I believed that we were meant to be
That if I tried hard enough you would be mine forever
I believed your silly little saying
Look what I got from it, nothing but pain
So, what was it you said about the future?
Somewhere along the way it got lost in your web of lies
It really doesn't matter now anyway

Besides it was all just a dream after all
