VincentXShelke: Fragments of Memories
After the minor war with the Tsviets, Vincent had taken a break from saving the world for awhile. The others had all gone back to their daily routines. And Shelke was living out the ten years of her life that she had lost. But, she was living with Vincent. As awkward as it was, Vincent had taken Shelke in with him in his home. He had promised Shalua before she was killed, that he would look after her. So, Vincent Valentine was living with a female in his household… In a house he had bought in Kalm.
Shelke had started to learn the various ways that things worked in the world. But, she still had a bit of learning to do. She still had a Mako Regenerative tube that was downstairs in a room, but she was attempting to wean herself off of it. The girl, Tifa, had told her to try it out, so that her body could become stronger again, in order to rid herself of the Mako poisoning that was clinging to her body so strongly. Sometimes, though, when Shelke would go to sleep at night, or she would receive more "data interference" from her mind, she would have nightmares, and would eventually end up having more lost tears return.
It injured her though, when Vincent would look at her as if he wasn't looking at her at all. But, as if he was seeing Lucrecia inside her. It killed her…
Vincent would be doing something and would catch someone walking by out of the corner of his eye. He would slightly turn, and as if the light of day, would see Lucrecia walking by him. Then, he would blink, and she would be gone again. And it would just be Shelke stopping, and looking back at him. They were similar, yet they weren't. The things she would say, would be something that Lucrecia had once said or would be something she would have said to Vincent. The way she got caught up in her work sometimes would be another dead ringer… Dead…
Lucrecia had died long ago…
Even though, Lucrecia had returned to the planet years ago, there was still something lingering inside. And it was left inside Shelke, like memory fragments. Or was it emotional fragments? Whatever it was, she usually did not pay mind to it, but it entered her numb mind from time to time. It would play out as simple data interference. Then, it would be like emotions hitting her. Except they weren't her own.
They were Lucrecia's memories and emotions. And they were a part of her now. Something that she could simply not erase. And that was the hardest part of living with him. Because she still lived on inside of her.
