Uchiha Itachi did not kill Haruno Sakura that day.
But seeing him might just have killed her.
Bleeding fists, bruised wrists, pulsing muscles, splintered knuckles. Even with gloves on, Sakura still felt the repercussions of trying to break down a tree with her own hands.
"I still have a lot of training to do," she muttered to herself.
"You do, indeed." And like some kind of old friend, the man appeared in front of the young girl.
A fear-bomb set off in Sakura's body and she took a ready step back for battle.
"Calm down." His eyes wrangled hers and though she knew it was dangerous, she could not look away. Physically could not. "I'm not here for you."
Itachi took a step forward and asked a question slowly. "Where is the Uzumaki Naruto?"
"Naruto!--" Sakura was angry at first, defensive but-- it melted. Her thoughts, that is. She fell out of her own mind. Mangekyou Sharingan.
"Naruto. . . is training with Jiraiya-sama. . ."
"So it's true."
But he didn't stop there. For his own reasons (as all she could define), he seemed to power through his mind like waves at the shore.
She felt like her memories were being played for her like a movie, and she was watching with an unwanted guest. Team 7 -- Forest Of Death -- Sasuke's leaving -- pain and sweet lemony sorrow. She tasted it a second time.
When the genjutsu dropped so did Sakura's knees. She fell to the ground and balanced on her hands for breath. Tears were on her face that she had not afore noticed.
Fear had replaced defiance in her eyes when she looked up at him, not daring to touch his eyes.
Like a ghost, he was gone.
Sakura never told anyone about that day.
Bellshipping. Can you dig it?
Why Bellshipping? A rather silly reason. I needed a random word (as in any shipping title) and I figured that they're both smart.
Smart. Reads books. Belle from Beauty and the Beast read books. Ta-Dah! Shipping name.
. . . yeah, I know I'm a dork. But review me 'cause I'm beautiful. :D
. . . and by "I" I mean Bellshipping.
. . .
Somehow.
