Chapter 1

Zac Efron Look-Alike Contest

In modern Japan, a young teen walked casually down the sidewalk towards his home. With a backpack on his back and a black notebook held tightly in his hand, girls all around stared in the glow of his beauty, absolutely dazzled. Ah, only if they knew what Zac Efron looked like. But anyway, how this boy looks scarily like that monster is not relevant. What is important, however, is not your average situation in the life of Light Yagami, or otherwise Kira. In other words, it isn't dramatic (much).

Just epic win, and that's all.

As the young adult entered his house, he hears a voice reminiscent of his mother. Oh, how he loved his dear mom. "LIIIIIGHT! DO YOUR HOMEWORK OR YOUR FATHER WILL COME ALL THE WAY OVER HERE AND DO THAT THING WITH THE NEWSPAPER AGAIN!" Light gulped, remembering the last time with the daily newspaper. "Yes, mother. May I have some tea and crumpets with that?"

"YOU AREN'T BRITISH, YOUNG MAN. QUIT THAT SARCASTIC BULLSHIT AND BE A PROPER JAPANESE CHILD, YOU UNDERSTAND?!"

Light said nothing, now very afraid. I don't think she took her bi-polar medication this morning, Light thought. "Wow, your mom is a pain in my old bony ass.", a raspy voice spoke behind him. "Welcome to my life, Ryuk." Our poor 'God' was shaking slightly. When the two entered Light's room, he calmed down and sat on his computer. "Now it's time for our daily justice-doing."

Meanwhile, a black-haired man with no eyebrows was on his computer as well, some miles away from the Yagami household. The man pretended to be focused, but was really bored out of his mind. There are so many things I could possibly do to entertain myself on this thing called Internet, L's mouse went towards a bookmark labeled "Sexy Asian Girl Orgy – watch the kitty fight now!' until...

"Ryuzaki! I have something to tell you!" the sudden surprise shocked L to closing out the window. "What is it, Matsuda?" he sighed, longing for the sexy Asians like him doing unforgivable sins that even Kira couldn't resist. "It's your BIRTHDAY!", he shrieked, a joyful sparkle in his eyes.

L stared at him for a moment. His birthday wasn't until Halloween. But...

"Yes, Matsuda-kun. You are correct. Now I would like to do something for my birthday."

"Really? What is it?" the man asked hurriedly.

"I would actually like to put a practical joke on none other than Light-kun this evening." he whispered for just him.

"Oh my God!", Matsuda yelled, and everybody turned around. "What is it now, Matsuda? If it's about the caffeine, you aren't getting anymore Sprite, okay?", spoke Aizawa.

"No! We're going to pr-"

"Prawns and fish night at Applebee's?" Mr. Yagami guessed, now struggling to mask his excitement.

"That is incorrect," L stepped in. "I was just going to do something alone for my birthday. Matsuda, I would like it if you do not be a, dare I say it, motormouth in this situation."

Matsuda stumbled on his words for a moment. "Yes, as you wish."

Ryuzaki turned towards Mr. Yagami. "And we aren't going to prawns and fish night again, Yagami-san. Last time we went, you had a heart attack from all that food you consumed."

He gasped. "That's not true! The writers never said anything like that!"

"And the writers said I died from diabetes." The room became silent for the rest of the night as L planned his demise on who he knew was Kira.
