So I was listening to the old song Who Stopped The Rain.

And I thought it'd make a cute drabble thus, there is this

ENJOY

It rained, for days, weeks, a full month went by with just rain. The storm never stopped, even in the vast desserts of Suna there was rain.

As long as I can remember rains been falling down, I can't even fathom what a day would be like without large puddles on the ground and the constant pitter patter sound.

The sky's been hiding behind the mystery clouds, thick and full of dark fluff hid the sun. It was like eternal night, none of the clouds let up to even let the sun peek out from behind it's imprisonment.

No one understood why there was so much rain, why it wouldn't lent up for just a second. I stood there in the muddy grass that's been drowning. My yellow rubber boots had mud on it for just walking on the dirt path. My umbrella dipped, too much rain too fast for the poor thing is worn out for being used all day long for too many days.

I stood there in front of the memorial stone, there was one day I remember where the sun was out and rain no where to be seen. That was the last day he was alive, I stared at his name etched into the stone as raindrops fell down its smooth polished sides.

And suddenly, the heavy pitter patters slowed and became lighter. Then there was no sounds at all… it was quiet.

I moved the umbrella off my shoulder to have it drop to the ground just in time to see a break in the clouds and the sun blaze through the crack as if to say 'I'm alive! I've come back!'

I looked shocked at the memorial stone, waiting for it to explain the sudden lack of rain… it was silent. The clouds disappeared completely and the sun lights every nook and cranny it could spread to.

I closed my eyes and smiled, started to unbutton my raincoat. I left them there my umbrella laying on its side and my raincoat crumpled up near the handle. Even from the graveyard I could hear people coming out of their houses, laughing and kids jumping in the rain puddles.

I left then, my rain boots squeaking and sloshing through the muddy grass. I couldn't take my eyes off the sky, it's as if he was watching from up there.

Thank you, Hayate-san

And I wonder, still I wonder who stopped the rain?
