hey all, this is just a short dramatic monolougue, i like it. thanks alot to I'll wait, for your amazing editing skills and feedback.

by the way, if none of you figured it out, i don't own fma

"My name is Ember, and I am the dying flame of my people's legacy. All of the pain and suffering that the world has inflicted in my land, all of the senseless killing lives on in me. It's quite ironic; my only purpose is to live so that death shall be remembered.

"I have now reached the somber acceptance that comes with one's fifteenth year; the acceptance that people who are dead should remain dead. I've accepted that although there might be some good in humanity, it will always choose to be lead around by deceit and hatred. I've even accepted that people will forever look at me, and upon seeing my red eyes, they will turn away with the word demon on their lips. I have accepted that I'm an outcast.

"It was a religious campaign, the war that killed off my people. While the rest of the world believed in exaltation of death, and the powers given to them by science, we were different. We lived by the doctrine that kindness was contagious, and will always be returned. I don't believe anymore. How can I when proof to the contrary is lying right in front of my eyes? My people gave everything, tried everything, grasped for any hope of survival, and yet they were all massacred. I would have shared in their fate if one soldier, his hands stained with my people's blood, had not used me to ease his guilt. I owe everything to him, and yet I hate him. Would it have been so cruel to just let me die, to just let me stay with my family? Twelve years have passed since the Ishballan massacre, and now I must live on. I must survive so that the world can hear my story and remember their mistake. I must live so it doesn't happen again. My name is Ember and I am the dying flame of my people's legacy."
