"Accept the power of Void, and you will be able to surpass them," the cold, chilling voice of Takuto echoed in his mind as he watched Aichi from the roof of the Tatsunagi Corps building.
The bluenette was busy observing Miwa's fight with Tokura, his eyes evidently conflicted.
Blank emerald orbs continued to gaze at the Gold Paladin user, as Kai clutched his Link Joker deck tightly, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly.

Psyqualia.
That was how it all began. The mysterious power that had possessed Ren, and even Aichi for a short period of time, until he managed to snap him out of it.
Psyqualia was a means for those who possessed it to bond with units in Cray. To call upon them in times of need. However, when used incorrectly, it will possess the user, amplifying the user's darker traits and making them power-hungry people, mere shells of the people they used to be.
Aichi, Ren and even Soryu Leon had accepted that power with open arms, after all the misery it had caused them.
It was unfair in a way, that he, who became strong by himself, was weaker than them, who accepted the alien power of Psyqualia, who chose the path he had vowed never to go down.
"Go on, accept the power that is Reverse, and you can be far stronger than they could ever be..." Takuto smirked, as a single card materialized in front of the brunette.
Star-Vader, Nebula Lord Dragon.
Kai stared at it, his expression conflicted.
Stronger.
He had to be stronger.
He had to surpass Aichi and Ren.
He would do so, no matter what the cost, even if it meant accepting the power of Void.
Slowly, he reached out to grab the card.
The moment his fingers brushed against it, he was engulfed in an aura of dark red, as he Locked his past self, as he willingly accepted the power of Reverse.

Kai Toshiki smiled, his soulless viridian eyes met deep blue, before Aichi flinched and dropped his gaze.
'Soon...' His lips twitched upwards in an empty smile.
For a split second, his eyes regained some light, as his other self tried to take over.
Laughing at the other Kai's foolishness, Reversed Kai continued to force him back into the recesses of his own mind. He would not last for long.
'Soon, I will Reverse the both of you...'
A lone tear slid down his cheek as the real Kai lay Locked within his own mind, his Reversed self taking control once more.
'Subete wa Void no tame ni.'
