DEAN'S MISTAKE
DISCLAIMER
Caught a part of "Red Sky At Morning" and was inspired to write this. Ties in with "Needing Help" and other related fics. Takes place directly after the party they crashed. Belongs to Eric Kripke and the CW. Decided to slightly revamp so that it wasn't so confusing.
OLD REVIEWS
Deangirl1: While this is kinda intriguing, I would really suggest you watch at least the whole episode before writing a tag…And you might want to watch a few more episodes with Bela to really get a handle on that relationship.
Random-insights: Agh what'd he do? I like the basis of this, but what did Dean do? Cool story though, :D
Sam huffed as he followed Dean and Bela into the hotel room.
"What's the matter, Sammy? We got the information we needed," Dean pointed out.
"And besides, we had a good time," Bela added.
"Oh, yeah. Real fun. It was just great being pinched, ogled, and basically felt up by a woman that could be our grandmother," Sam bit off. He pushed past them and began yanking off his suit.
"Oh, come on, Sam. Don't be such a spoilsport," Bela cajoled.
"How would you like it, Bela? Being sized up? Being treated like a slab of meat? If you think it's so great, why didn't you get yourself a hands-y date?" Sam spat out. Bela's head recoiled as if she had been slapped and Dean's brow furrowed. What was eating Sammy? He looked at his brother, who was fidgeting, but trying not to show it. In addition, his face was pale and his eyes were cloudy. He frowned. Why would Sam be so nervous? And why would he be so jumpy about being with a girl? Then it hit him and he groaned. Of course. Gertrude's actions had reminded him of his old history teacher, Janet Thompson. Man, I could smack myself, he thought.
"What?" Bela asked.
"Dang it, Sammy. I'm sorry, kiddo," he apologized, approaching his brother. "I completely forgot. I'm so sorry," he continued.
"What? What's going on?" Bela wondered. What's he apologizing for? she wondered.
"Oh, nothing. Just that I've re-scarred my brother for the rest of his life," Dean responded, not taking his eyes off his brother.
"How could you forget? You know what it did to me," Sam reminded, turning slightly so that he was looking at the wall. How could he forget? He was the one who helped me through the nightmares, bitterly he thought to himself.
"I know, little brother. This was my mistake, and I know that nothing I say can make this better," Dean answered, grabbing his wrist and forcing him to face him.
"Am I missing something here?" Bela wondered. It's like they're speaking in some bloody code, she thought in frustration. Ignoring her, Sam looked at Dean, studying his face for any sign that he wasn't being serious, but found none. Sam nodded, accepting the silent apology.
"We cool, little brother?" Dean asked.
"We're cool," Sam told him. Bela looked at the brothers, wondering what was going on. When she received no explanation, and threw up her hands. Then, the three went on to make a strategy.
