Sequel—Night At The Carnival
Sequel—A Night to Remember
"It's beautiful," Pride whispered.
Laika silently agree with her. They were sitting on top of a rock, staring at the full moon across the lake. Under the moon's pale light, the lake shimmered and sparkled in colors of white, blue and purple and silver under it's gentle glow and the delineate forest.
They listened to the hissing cicadas as the water lapping against the rocks. Occasionally a bird would sing.
Pride hugged her knees to keep herself warm from the chilly midsummer night. "Too bad the others are not here to see this and I can't believe our vacation is almost over."
Laika nodded. Dr. Hikari took his family out to dinner while Enzan stayed in the house to finish his paperwork. Kageki went to the cemetery after he and Z became official NetSaviors.
"Pride." Laika said hesitantly.
"Hm?"
Laika remembered the conversation he had with Kageki yesterday before he asked Pride out.
"Laika," Kageki said seriously, "If you don't tell Pride how you feel about her."
"I like you," was all Laika could say. He felt his heart pounding fast as he leaned towards Pride. He didn't give her time to tell him how she feels about him. Maybe she still harbors some feelings for Netto.
"You won't know if she likes you or not."
Laika pressed his face against hers.
He heard strange gargling noises from their PETs.
He saw was her eyes widen in surprise. He relaxed a little until he felt something wet and warm running down his throat. Laika broke away from the kiss.
"I'm sorry Pride," he apologized, blushing madly. "This is my first and I must have swallowed your gum."
Pride was staring at him, with her hand over her mouth. "You didn't swallow my gum." Pride said, wide-eyed. "You kissed my nose."
Laika heard more strange noises from their PETs. He made a mental note to himself to have a private talk with them before they go back to the house or else Netto would find out and he would never let him forget this.
Pride uncovered her mouth, smiling. "You said this is your first time, right?"
Feeling too numb to speak, he could only nod.
"You are a terrible kisser."
"I know," he groaned, he dropped his head between his hands.
Pride touched his shoulder. Laika looked up, he saw a huge smile on her face.
"This is how you kiss," she said and she kissed him, on the lips.
The End.
