A DAY IN THE LIFE OF JUNIPER MCPETERS!!!

"It hasn't worked!" shouted Aster.

"What hasn't worked?" said a voice in the shadows; Aster jumped when the voice spoke he turned around and saw the familiar face. It was Tristan.

"Don't do that, you'll give an old man a heart attack" Aster smiled and hobbled slowly to his favourite oversized, tartan couch. Tristan laughed and ran his fingers through his thick short brown hair and his blue eyes shone, the thought of a new adventure erupted a hot excitement in his chest.

"So tell me old man what hasn't worked" he smiled cheekily.

"You forget your place young man, and for your information my Chronic Transporter has failed" he sighed slumping heavily in his chair which seemed to bulge slightly at the seams

"Your catechism - what" Tristan studied the room looking for the wizards newest device, slightly intrigued and confused at the same time.

"Young Prince it's a chronic transformer, haven't you read about it in your books?" he said

"No sorry Aster I haven't" Tristan looked around trying to avoid Aster's gaze knowing full well he had once again neglected the studies the old Wizard had set him.

"Tristan! You know full well neglecting your studies and your destiny -"

"In this kingdom, your mother entrusted me with your intellect, blah blah blah" Tristan cut in, mimicking Aster in a high-pitched voice.

"Tristan, enough there is no time for this gobbledegook. Preparations must be made, magical laws and realms will be broken and proven with this invention of mine" the Old wizard held a Glass orb, similar to those of psychics have when telling a fortunes. The orb had a colored mist inside that seemed to send chills down Tristan's spine, he was intrigued and amazed, it seemed to be holding his stare while the mist changed colour.

"Come!" announced Aster bringing Tristan back from his thoughts.

Aster opened the door of his small cottage; Tristan had to duck slightly to avoid ramming his head into the window frame, he looked back at the orb and then slammed the door shut with a snap.

'On the Table the glass orb developed a blue and purple mist and within seconds it disappeared.'

Ok thats the first bit I dont know whether to use this as a Prologue or Chapter 1. Well I guess thats why I am here...

Constructive cirticism is needed...
