Written for .harry's competition "Who is Lily Luna to you?".

Lily was particularly a quiet girl.

Her personality wasn't as dazzling and shining as any other of her cousins, but she was glad it was like that. She wasn't the type of person who would want to shine. Her friendships were always passing in silent walks in the forest with just one or two other friends, a picnic or something like that. Lily liked calmness and appreciated it most above all.

She was also a really good friend. Whenever someone close to her – someone she loved or cared about – was in trouble or felt unhappy, Lily was there. In the long nights when Rose wanted to talk to somebody about any problem she had – and it was a bit too often since she always ended up involved into some terrible mess – Lily would sneak in her dormitory and have a quiet conversation with her until the other girl felt better. Pretty often, she helped Uncle Percy's daughters – Molly and Lucy – when they needed help. She would be there to encourage Louis to do something when he was too afraid to, or would just sit wordlessly and listen to Dominique and Victoire when they had problems – sometimes even problems she didn't quite understand because they were older than her. Lily was even always ready to go with Fred and Roxanne and help them in the Joke Shop of their father – and it was really far away from her home. She sat on the garden at home during the Christmas break – back then she was too young and still wasn't in Hogwarts – and talked with her brother Al for hours when he was so upset he was sorted into Slytherin.

As for her, she never complained about anything when she had a problem. Not that there wouldn't be anybody for her – Lily had many friends, and also had her family – but she just didn't want to. The only person she talked with when she needed something was he mother. It seemed to the girl like if Ginny was the only one that truly understood what she was saying to her.

But Lily didn't want people's attention. She didn't want to shine brightly as everyone else in the family – or at least, almost everyone from her cousins. She didn't complain when she listened to everyone else; she actually liked when people trusted her.

For her, being appreciated as a friend was the most important thing.

Author's notes: Well, not the best thing, I s'pose, but that's really the way I've always pictured her to be – the most trusted and loyal from all of them. I'm not sure why (in the epilogue we don't get much of her as a person) but I still hope you like it. :)

I know it's a bit short – at first I thought about putting her in some situation and expressing her personality like that, but I wrote both and liked this better. :)
