Hi, this is my first story I'm writing so bear with me please

Chapter 1

Hi there! My name is Joel Nuit. Son of Nyx, the goddess of night. I'm 15 and I'm at Half-Blood Academy. What's half-blood academy, you may ask? It's a place where we learn to survive and shiz. Cause outside our borders…. They're some pretty mean looking creatures that might want to eat or kill you. That doesn't really sound pleasant at all. Well, I guess telling you guys a descriptions of what the academy looks like. Well it's a huge building in the woods somewhere. It's pretty big, it's like two buildings connected to another by a small hallway. In it has the classes, mess hall and dorms. Outside of it, has a theater, the arena, the apples trees (a lot of apples trees, it pays everything),the armory, a beach, the forges and the borders and a lake. All sounds fun rig-

"Joel, please pay more attention and stop dozing off." Mrs. Rooks said with a disapproving look. Most of the students were laughing.

I looked at her and give her a faint smile. She smiled back and continue on with the class. I looked around I just realized I was in math class. Guess, I should pay more attention. But later, I don't feel like it now. I just stared into the clock until class was over and this is the math was the last class of the day! Awww yea!

The bell goes' off and learning is done for today. I walked to the hall and waited for Allison. My best friend . She has medium ish… black hair, with blue tipped hair. Which of course, looks amazing on her. Oh, almost forget. She's a daughter of Zeus. The all mighty god of lightning.

When she walked out with her school bag, I just smirked at her. "Took you long enough." I said

"Oh shush." She playfully punched my arm.

"OW" I respond with a fake frown.

She just stuck out her tongue at me, then started walking back to her dorm. I looked around and they're weren't many kids. Since it's October. Most of the students went back home…

Well I don't have a home outside of HBA. Since my dad was murdered by some theifs when I was 5. I lived here ever since. And Half-blood academy is my home.

So we arrive at the dorm. "See yea tomorrow." I said "Tell Sarah I said hi!" I added.

"Sure, I'll tell her. Byeeeee" she said and closed the door.

I headed back to my dorm and found Ash waiting there for me.

"Finally!, I was getting bored" said the talking cat.
