Ron and I had a falling out. I just don't understand what went wrong. Did we argue? Well of course what couple wouldn't but this was a harsh accusation being presented to me by him. He waltzed around the room claiming that I had been cheating on him with someone he identifies as "the enemy". No matter how many times I tell him that I have to work alongside people that flirt with me I would never do anything in return. For I'm too work oriented to do something so scandalous. Plus my position wasn't something that I wanted to give up due to something like an office affair!

"Why is Malfoy sending you owls?! After office hours?! Doesn't he have any respect for your private life!" Ron screamed from the kitchen while sending the owl viciously away.

"Because we are having a terrible crisis in the department and sometimes we need to communicate after hours to keep each other up to date. Also it helps to better the situation if we have a plan to fix it." I reply as I walk over to him.

"Any other questions?" I asked as I snatch the letter from out of his clenched fist.

"Well if this is how you're going to be then maybe you should just live with him!"

And there it was. I couldn't breathe. The tears weren't coming but I knew they wanted to. My cheeks were flaming red I could feel it. Without saying anything I grabbed my bags and left. Even with him telling after me and begging me to stay. I just knew that I couldn't keep living this life. It was time to be my own person even if that meant leaving my first real love. If I was no longer happy then why would I force myself to stay?

Taking a deep breath I pull myself together before making the announcement of my unexpected arrival. Being on the doorstep of my once arch enemy's home was something that I never thought would occur. I could have gone to Harry's but he is busy with the kids I couldn't possibly bother them. Besides what help would I have been? Before I could even knock the door opens and standing before me is the boy that grew up and became the most amazing if a man.

"I'm sorry for not-".

"It's alright come on in," he replies as he clears the doorway for me to enter.

Looking around his small apartment wasn't much to look at. Just a typical furnished living quarters that were quite common in the Wizarding community. A beautiful fire place for when it gets just a snug bit too cold and drab wallpaper that isn't very inviting. But Draco did add his own personal touches. Such as the green drapes and small ornaments to give the room much more personality. It was quite cozy and I liked it.

"What brings you here uninvited?" I hear behind me as I'm given a nice cup of tea.

"Ron and I just aren't seeing eye to eye anymore. I mean I started to notice that he was getting more possessive but never like this. I just couldn't be there anymore." I muttered into my cup.

The couch next to me indicated that Draco had sat down next to me and it gave me almost an immediate comfort. Before I could react the tears that I was holding back began to fall one after another. This was so embarrassing but I just feel that all the stress and anxiety I felt was slowly escaping my body and I could finally breathe again.

"Would you like to stay here for a while? Just until you can get your bearings?"

I looked up with slight shock. Draco Malfoy my once arch enemy is now offering his home as a haven for me. This wasn't what I was expecting at all. But who was I to deny such a kind and compassionate request. With tears still running down my cheeks I replied.

"That would be amazing."

And that was the moment my life changed for the better.
