I was reading during a maths class and came up with this. I couldn't bring myself to kill any of the band so i went for Otulissa. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN THE STORY.

A small lake glistened in the crisp winter morning. The band of seven owls were flying over the forest kingdom of Ambala but it was too dangerous to continue. They could be mobbed by crows.

Otulissa winced as pain lanced through her chest. What had Finny done to her before Soren had killed her? She couldn't tilt her head down far enough to see the injury so she flew onward.

Soren who was flying below her suddenly felt something land on his wing. He though It must be morning dew and ignored it. But when it happened again he glanced at his port wing. There were several red splotches on it.

"Great Glaux. I'm flying through blood." He swore and rotated his head 180 degrees to look up at Otulissa. His gizzard froze. Otulissa's chest was covered in blood.

"Otulissa your hit. We have to land." He shouted.

"What?" she asked slightly delirious from loss of blood.

"We have to land. There's a sycamore tree ahead." He shouted. She dimly acknowledged him.

"Land in the sycamore ahead" he called to the other 5 owls. They nodded their heads and began to spiral downwards.

With in a few seconds they were all perched in a small hollow in the sycamore tree. Otulissa had a rather awkward landing and had tumbled into they hollow in which they were now perched. Soren inspected the wound. A long gash ran across Otulissa's chest starting at the base of her neck and running all the way to her lower left chest just below her heart.

"We need worms and fast." He called to digger, who being a burrowing owl was an expert at finding them.

"Back in a flash". He disappeared out of the hollow. He returned with 3 worms in his beak. Otulissa was lying on the floor of the hollow groaning in pain. Digger placed the worms on her chest. She moaned slightly as the pain subsided. "Now all we can do is hope." Mumbled Soren.

As the day wore on Otulissa began to moan in pain again no matter how many worms they got. An infection had set in. By evening her breathing was beginning to become laboured and her eyes were beginning to grow dull. The other owls grew very afraid. "Is Otulissa dying?" Gylfie was so worried her tiny body was shaking. Soren carefully preened her feathers and she began to calm down.

All through the long night they took turns to watch over Otulissa. Her breathing grew fainter and fainter. Just before first light during Martins watch, Otulissa suddenly stiffened. Martin called her name a cried for the others to help but there was nothing they could do.

Otulissa looked at the faces of the six owls around her. All of them (Including Twilight) were weeping and begging her to live but she new her time was now.

"Re..mem…ber…m..e." she managed to whisper. She tried to open her beak to tell them not to worry but their voices were growing fainter and fainter.

And so it was that Otulissa died.

That was so hard to write but i felt that i had to.
