A/N: I thought of this at night. As always I was questioning my "obsession" over Sasunaru. What are Sasuke and Naruto anyway? They're best friends, brothers and people say they're lovers too. So I was like- hey brother and lover rhyme!! POETRY TIME! Lol. XD
At first it was hatred
That brought us together
The village idiot and me,
A bond I must sever.
I never guessed
That you could be ever
My best friend
My brother
And definitely not lover
I saw the change only
On the day of the fight
As I breathed my last breath
Your arms held me tight.
And then I realised that perhaps you just might.
Be my best friend
A brother,
But never my lover
Slowly but surely
Our relationship grew
The smile on your face
I could now see through.
In your eyes I saw pain
Like my own, and I knew.
You were
My best friend
And brother,
But still not my lover.
The day everything changed
It all fell apart
Cursed by a snake
And doomed from the start.
I distanced myself to protect both our hearts.

… I still wont say lover.
It was too late by the time
You came to my aid
Revenge was my goal
My decision was made.
I lied to you when I told you that day
I don't need a best friend
