Disclaimer: I'm sad to say that I don't own Smallville. I leave that to creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, along with Smallville developers, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.
Oliver saw Chloe in the kitchen across from the kitchen nook as he came in and just smiled. One would think since the Vigilante Registration Act had been repealed that neither would have to hide who they were, but here they are at Oliver's while Chloe made coffee.
Chloe felt someone watching her. She turned and smiled at Oliver. "What are you smiling at?" she asked.
"The woman whom I love," Oliver replied as he sat at one of the chairs to watch her, "and one I know who loves me."
Chloe smiled at Oliver's romantic heart. "I do," she said.
"When does Lois plan on taking you away from me?" Oliver asked.
Chloe gave him a curious look.
Oliver just smiled and then said, "You are Lois's maid of honor, aren't you?"
Chloe looked at him with astonishment. "How do you know that?" Chloe asked. "I haven't even told you yet."
"I know Lois, too," Oliver replied smiling at her.
"Tomorrow," Chloe answered. "That's what Lois and Clark wanted to talk with me about the other day when I over to the farm."
"And isn't it handy that I'm Clark's best man?" Oliver asked her suspicious of both Lois and Clark.
Chloe turned to a cabinet, opened it, and took out two coffee mugs. "Which would have been the last thing on Lois's mind," Chloe insisted, "when she picked me to be her maid of honor."
"How would you know that?" Oliver asked as Chloe poured the coffee into one mug than the other.
"I'm Lois's cousin," Chloe told him as she picked up the two steaming cups of coffee, walked around the kitchen nook, and passed a mug to Oliver.
Oliver took a sip from the mug and then sat it down. He then took Chloe's mug and sat it down next to his. He opened his arms up to her and her arms circled around his neck while his circled her waist. "You don't think it's a conspiracy on Lois's part?" he asked her looking into her eyes.
Chloe chuckled at Oliver's suspicious nature and shook her head. "No," she replied. "It would've been a conspiracy if I didn't know already that Clark had already asked you to be his best man at the engagement party."
Oliver blinked at her. "You're not going to tell me that the Watchtower is bugged, are you?" he asked her.
"You really thought I was going to leave Watchtower unprotected, did you?" she asked smiling at him innocently. "I wanted to know the people who I had left behind were going to be okay.
Oliver sighed. "I suppose that had cost a small fortune," he said.
"It was worth it," Chloe told him, "though; I was shocked to find out that you let Tess take my position."
"She already knew Clark's secret and had already figured I was Green Arrow," Oliver countered. "Clark and my logic why not let her in on a few more. It was either she'd do her duty and do what we expected of her or have her betray us."
"She did what was expected of her," Chloe said, "because you trusted her."
"Yes," Oliver confirmed.
"I guess I understand that," Chloe replied.
"Since Lionel Luthor has bought me out and you don't have anything to do today," Oliver replied, "I figured we could stay in today."
Chloe smiled. "Why, Mr. Queen, what did you have in mind?" she asked.
Forgetting their coffees, they made their back into Oliver's bedroom and Chloe closed the door.
