There they were, face to face. Will and never thought he would get to meet Eragon and Saphira, much less, so soon. But there they were, regardless. This has got to be one of the greatest days of my life.

Will had just got a dragon only a few months ago. He found his dragon's egg hidden under his bed 3 weeks before it hatched. He found it while cleaning his room, and knew what it was as soon as he saw it. Excited, he took it and ran to his trustworthy brother, Yardra, who was 15. His brother's eyes gleamed when Will handed the egg to him.
"Where did you find this, Will?"
"It was under my bed! I was trying to find my bow, so it wouldn't get lost forever when I shoved the junk all over my floor under the bed! I got the bow, but I saw somehing glow behind the box filled with all of my old toys! I moved the box out of the way and practically lunged for it!"
"Well, we better keep this a secret. If mom and dad find out about it they'll probably smash the thing into pieces."
Will hid the egg in the large wooden box his dad had given him to hold all of his weapons in 2 years ago. He hid it under the large pile of bolts and arrows, and put a blanket around it so the egg wouldn't shiver with the ice-cold metal of the weaponry. Every day he checked on it to make sure it was still there, and it always was. He eventually forgot about it, when he was told that he was chosen to go on one of the greastest hunts ever.
One night as Will was about to go to sleep, something started banging in the wooden box. Shocked that he forgot about it, he quickly opened the box and pulled out the blanket and the egg...or so he thought. He unwrapped it, and cried quietly. The dragon had already hatched and the shell was gone.
