Settling down into her new job, a Los Angeles detective, ex U.S.S.S agent Helena Harper is called to a scene that is the work of a serious maniac. Bodies, mutilated and nailed to a tree. With further investigation, Harper and her partner Wattson get lead into a nightmare where neither of them have a chance of escaping.

Prologue:

Fear. That four letter word. What is it? What does it mean? Why does it occur? Fear is something all of us feel, without a choice. We see fear as something negative. Something evil. Who wants to actually be scared? Yeah sure, you have those blockbuster horror supernatural thrillers and silly fairground attractions, but they don't stir true fear, true fright. Fear has to be forced upon someone; and at the right amounts, it could even break someone.
