"Damn it stupid Spaniard," the Italian's gruff and tired voice murmured as his boyfriend slid beside him on the couch and pulled the blanket he wore over both of their bodies. "I'm not a little kid...I didn't need you to fucking coddle me all the damn time..."
But as any other time his words and actions contradicted as he hugged his handsome Spanish beau who gave a faint laugh in response before doing just the same. "Lovi, don't you know how much I worry about you? If you fall asleep so exposed in this weather you'll catch a cold."
"Like I told you I'm not a damn toddler..." Lovino burrowed into the warm blankets just trying to find his own comfort on the too-small couch they were sharing. "And stop calling me 'Lovi' damn it."
"I'm sorry," the chocolate-haired Spaniard breathed, pressing a chaste kiss to the other's forehead softly. "But I can't help myself sometimes; you're just too cute when you get all flustered."
"I'll skin you alive if you keep using that lame-ass excuse," Lovino growled as he pressed his face against the other's chest. "You damn-well know you can help yourself you just don't want to."
"Sorry, sorry." He smiled as he boyfriend's body relaxed in his arms and a relieved sigh escaped the other's lips. "Lovino, you know I love you right? Even with all the annoying things I do and no matter how upset I make you."
"'Course I know stupid," he looked up with a frown on his face. "And you don't upset me so you can shut the hell up with that too."
"You sure?" He murmured back silently, looking into Lovino's eyes. "You...You always talk about how much of a pain I am...sometime I just can't help but wonder if you really are."
It went silent for a moment, the Spaniard's head turning away as he realized what he had just admitted. "You need to shut up with that shit Antonio. You need to stop saying such fucking ridiculous things and think for a minute."
"Lovino, I-"
"I wouldn't be here right now if you made me upset, would I?" He asked, pulling Antonio's gaze back over to find a hurt expression staring back. "I...love you Toni. I don't say it enough...and even if you're a pain in my ass or sometimes big the hell outta me, it's not gunna change."
Again silence fell over them, soon interrupted by Lovino's shouting once again. "H-Hey you! You're not supposed to be crying idiot! Damn it I'm such a fucking screw-up..."
"No you're not," Antonio smile and hugged the other closer with a small laugh. "I'm just relieved is all."
Lovino smiled himself, cupping the olive-skinned man's face and pressing a soft kiss against his soft lips. But the second he pulled away Antonio immediately pressed them against his and held him close to his body, blinking away the last of his tears.
Every few moments or so they would part for air but would soon be lip-locked once more with small smiles on their faces as they did. Lovino's hands gently ran through Antonio's curly, chocolate hair while the latter's remained on the other's hips and continually slid when they shifted.
When they finally pulled apart Lovino was laying atop the other's chest. His face went immediately red when he realized what had happened and burrowed it into Antonio's shirt. "L-Look at what you made me do now asshat..."
"T-That was really nice Lovi..." Antonio murmured, blushing in surprise himself. "I-I love you too."
"I know, you say it every damn day..." The other said, rolling his eyes with a gentle smile on his face. "You make it sound like I'm gunna forget or something. That'd just be stupid."
"I'm glad you feel that way." Antonio breathed and closed his eyes. "Can we just sleep out here tonight?"
"Yeah, I'd like that." Lovino muttered gently falling asleep himself. "I'd like that a lot..."
