(Beginnings) Here's the beginning of what is to be a series of Kingdom Hearts drabbles about just random things that come into my head. What I'm hoping for is that a nice, full fledged story will stem from one of these and I can expand on it. So, you can just let me know what you like, then I will get and idea of what to write. It's easy! For those who haven't seen the desc, it's Yaoi, so if you don't like don't read! . ; I'm just going to write until I'm tired of it! Wouldn't it be funny if I had like, 200 chapters? Crazy man. Crazy. Anyways, enjoy the goodness of Kingdom Hearts, cause it's hot like that. I could write volumes on my theories about this game, but I'll give them to you piece by piece.

All Cloud could remember was running, running away from the chaos until his legs felt like they were about to fall off. Pushing past crowds of panicking people, sweat pouring down his face, he desperately tried to run away. He wanted to stay and fight the monstrous creatures that were attacking Midgar, but his sword bounced right off their impermeable black hides.
"What are those things?" he gasped under his breath as he slid into a back alleyway.
Magic had almost no affect on them either. Their empty yellow eyes stared blankly as they swallowed up crystalline hearts, feeding on the very souls of the people they decimated. He told his friends to run while they could, that this was no ordinary fight, and thankfully they listened. Tifa fled with the Cid on the Highwind. Yuffie, thankfully was in Wutai when it happened. He hadn't warned the Turks, but he was sure they were smart enough to get out.
Hey must be attacking the planet's core as well, because the screaming was deafening. Damn Jenova cells.
Only he had a bad feeling when that so called Ansem arrived, promising to rebuild our world when Shinra failed. Those yellow eyes had a sinister, otherworldly glint only he could recognize. It was the gaze of a madman he knew so well. At first he thought it was another reincarnation of Sephiroth, another body to hold his tormented soul, but he quickly realized that this was a different threat all together. Those little black workers weren't here to rebuild, they were here to mutate and destroy.
By now he was in the bleak dead lands surrounding the city, and another explosion from behind him threw him to his knees. His sword flew from his back and skidded to a stop just out of his grasp. His sunny blonde hair was stained with soot, his creamy skin striped with dirt and blood. Painfully, he tried to get back to his feet, but a shock of hot pain shot up his leg and grounded in his spine. Trembling, he awaited what was to come.
Sorry… I couldn't save everyone this time. He choked, a wave of guilt and failure overcoming him. It was over.
Suddenly, dark sinew sprung from the ground, much like the life stream, only a swirling, enticing black and purple. Cloud gasped and tried to crawl away, his icy eyes thrown open in fright. Tendrils of darkness entwined about his limbs and neck, choking him, dragging him down. A pool of the thick, soupy dark life stream formed underneath the blonde, and the tendrils started pulling him under. Clawing at the air, he tried to catch the breath that was slowly escaping him, but his strength was gone. The darkness was closing in, enveloping his eyes, his nose, his mouth and eventually as his outstretched hand was swallowed up, his entire body.
No!… I can't let it end this way! Cloud screamed in his thoughts as he floated further and further below.
Then a voice entered his mind, calm but light, like a breath of fresh air, ambiguous like a faded memory.
"Be calm, child. This is only the beginning…"
