CHAPTER 1: Let's Go To An Amusement Park!

SIRIUS' POV:

So, it had all started when we had decided that it might be fun to go to a muggle amusement park...

Lily had been telling James, Remus, Peter and I all about the roller coasters and that muggle sweet that they call cotton candy ("because its so light and well... cottony!"), and the other food that they call corn-dogs ("Don't worry though! They're not made out of dogs or anything!").

We had all been enthralled by the idea: James' eyes had lit up like Christmas had come early at the very mention of roller coasters and he immediately started babbling about racing one on his broom, Peter obviously couldn't wait to try the different foods he actually had a puddle of drool just thinking about it, and Remus... Well Remus was excited about everything! His eye's were wide and twinkling even more than James', his mouth was stretched into a wide and childish grin that we never really got to see and he was leaning forward completely enveloped in the conversation. He had at least a million questions and Lily couldn't have been happier to answer them...

He looked absolutely perfect and I wanted to make him stay that happy no matter the consequences.

"Why don't we all go to one on our next holiday?" I asked out of the blue causing the others to jump.

Once the shock from my sudden outburst had faded we exchanged conspiratorial glances and grins plastered themselves across our faces as plans began to form in our minds.

We spent the rest of the night planning for our little trip to the amusement park nestled in a corner of the Gryffindor common room with their heads together...

NO POV:

The sun was shining high in the sky and the day was perfect, the birds were twittering peacefully and even Filch was turning a blind eye in an effort to keep the peacefulness.

As the five friends continued to walk on their way to the Care of Magical creatures class out in the grounds they basked in the sun and talked of the plans that had been made for their upcoming trip...

Once their plans had been completed they had immediately gone to confirm if it were possible with professor Dumbledore in his office. As he listened to their plans he seemed genuinely pleased and as excited as they were.

He had also agreed wholeheartedly... so long as they received parental permission which quite honestly had dampened Sirius' mood slightly until Dumbledore assured him that he would except his permission from Charles and Elizabeth Potter who he had been staying with.

After that they all raced back to the Gryffindor common room as fast as possible and cutting through any shortcut they could think of. They were elated at the news and had immediately written the letters to their families explaining the plans and that they would need parental permission or in Sirius' case the Potters' permission. The owls were sent out with strict orders to fly as fast as possible and they waited rather impatiently for them to come back with the responses they were hoping for.

A few hours passed and finally the last owl returned and gave its owner the piece of parchment that granted them permission for the trip.

Without so much as a pause they raced back out of the Gryffindor common room, down the moving stairs, ducked behind a statue to avoid an ink balloon from Peeves who was feeling particularly vindictive, and to the Gargoyle that guarded Dumbledore's office.

"Toffee!" They shouted in unison.

The gargoyle huffed at their impatience before it jumped out of the way and they raced up the moving staircase and into Dumbledore's already open door only to see him sitting at his desk with a humorous smile and a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

"Well?" He asked, it sounded like he was trying not to laugh and if the grin he had were anything to go by he was.

In response they merely held up their sheets of parchment practically shaking in excitement, grins splitting their faces and their eyes alight with triumph. Albus nodded as he drew his wand and summoned the sheets of parchment to him before folding his hands and looking straight at them.

"I knew that you would receive permission so I have gotten you all a surprise..." He paused to look at their shocked faces in amusement before he continued. "I have taken the liberty to not only get you a private port-key to your destination, but I have also reserved three rooms at a wizarding hotel that is right next to the amusement park you have decided to go and see. One room will be for Miss Evans, the second for Mr. Pettigrew and Mr. Potter, and the last is for Mr. Black and Mr. Lupin."

Lily immediately ran across the room and wrapped the old professor into a hug that could rival Molly Weasleys as the other four cheered in triumph and joy at the news they had just been given. They were going to an amusement park!
