The Taming of the Rogue

What do you get if you space out while reading Shakespear? This! ROMYNESS. FYI I will only write their accents if it pleases me to do so. Please R&R. Might be rated M later.

A.N. This will take a lot of planning to write simply because I couldn't decide between making this an X-Men, ROMY story or a Teen Titans, BBxRae story. I decided on a ROMY just to see if I could write one. Wish me luck!

Anyway I got this idea in reading class while we were reading The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare and I ending up reading the part of Katherine for Act 1! I totally sympathize with Kat and I started comparing her with both Rogue and… well… this was born.

Disclaimer: I don't own The Taming of the Shrew (and the series/movie 10 Things I Hate About You which I'll probably end up referring to somewhere in the story) or X-Men.

Anyways this first chapter here is dimension shifting! I feel entitled to give a character's list, seeing as my class is already confused enough with the Shakespearian names. So!

Petruchio: Remy!

Katherine: Rogue/ Anna Marie

Bianca: Kitty

Baptista: Logan

Lucentio: Piotr

Gremio: Magnus (im sorry kitty fans, I needed an old guy)

Katherine - The "shrew" of the play's title, Katherine, or Kate, is the daughter of Baptista Minola, with whom she lives in Padua. She is sharp-tongued, quick-tempered, and prone to violence, particularly against anyone who tries to marry her. Her hostility toward suitors particularly distresses her father. But her anger and rudeness disguise her deep-seated sense of insecurity and her jealousy toward her sister, Bianca. She does not resist her suitor Petruchio forever, though, and she eventually subjugates herself to him, despite her previous repudiation of marriage.

Petruchio- Petruchio is a gentleman from Verona. Loud, boisterous, eccentric, quick-witted, and frequently drunk, he has come to Padua "to wive and thrive." He wishes for nothing more than a woman with an enormous dowry, and he finds Kate to be the perfect fit. Disregarding everyone who warns him of her shrewishness, he eventually succeeds not only in wooing Katherine, but in silencing her tongue and temper with his own.
