A really short one-shot. M/M!! :D
Whoa. Okay… This is not how I saw this going.
Marshall stared wide-eyed at Jay Arnstein's mistress, who was currently undressing in front of him, giving him a sultry stare. Weren't they just talking about her issues with a married man who she supposedly loved?
Kay leaned closer and breathed "Make love to me, Marshall."
Marshall blinked stupidly.
Her offer, albeit unexpected, was tempting to say the least. After all, he was only a man.
It would be good, he knew. Hey, Jay had to have some reason to risk keeping the annoying woman around. But… it just didn't seem right. And not only because she was a witness, and he found the idea morally unacceptable. She just…
She didn't have the right eyes. Christ, they weren't even green. She didn't exude cool authority, and her smile wasn't sarcastic, and didn't translate things like "If I didn't love you, I swear I think I'd hate you." She was bossy, but in the spoiled way. Not in the this-is-what-has-to-be-done-so-do-it way. She didn't have that irresistible dry wit.
She wasn't Mary.
And that, more so than it being against regulations and inappropriate, was the reason why Marshall backed away saying "Okay. It looks like we still have some work to do."
He ignored the disappointed look on Kay's face, and sighed, hoping Mary was handling things alright on her end.
[I know I got Marshall's quote wrong, but I haven't watched that episode in a long time, and I forgot what he said exactly. Forgive me, lol. And thanks best friend (you know who you are, lol) for reminding me what Kay's name was.] And for the record, yes, Mary McCormack[Mary Shannon]'s eyes are GREEN. I know they can be easily mistaken for brown, but they are green. And Fred Weller[Marshall Mann]'s? Blue. B-L-U-E. Just for future reference, lol. ANYWAY... hope you liked! =]
